Chapter 57
After Isabella left, Theodore ordered his servant, "Pour me a cup of green tea."
The servant froze in place. "Green tea?"
The distinguished young master never drank such cheap green tea. The servant wondered if he had heard wrong. Theodore's eyes glinted with amusement. "Today, I'll try the taste of green tea."
"Oh, okay," the servant muttered and scratched his head before leaving.
Not long after, the servant returned with a steaming cup of green tea.
Theodore took a sip, "The taste is really not bad."
He looked completely absorbed in the flavor.
The servant stared in disbelief. Should he tell the young master that green tea was actually a subtle reference...?
However, he saw Theodore pull out his phone and, for the first time, post on his social media, leaving a particularly tea-sipping comment: "Women's money is really easy to make." Then, the strange part came-he set the post to be visible only to Nathan.
The servant felt like he had swallowed something unpleasant. His expression was hard to describe.
He had thought the young master was innocent and naive, but now it seemed he was no less cunning than a thousand-year-old fox spirit. Deceptively shrewd.

Hill family
When Isabella returned home, Nathan was sitting on the living room sofa, his eyes radiating a murderous aura.
He was gripping his phone so tightly that he nearly crushed it.
"You went to see Theodore?"
It was clear that he had seen Theodore's social media post.
Isabella ignored him and walked past him, heading straight upstairs.
Nathan suddenly stood up, pushed her down onto the sofa, and leaned his tall frame over her.
His hand gripped her chin, forcing her to look up at him. "Isabella, even if you sell yourself, Theodore would never give you the five billion 'City of Reincarnation' lock. You're such a fool." The next moment, he saw Isabella pull the lock-"City of Reincarnation"-out from around her neck.
His handsome face filled with shock. "He really gave you the lock? How is this possible?"
He remembered Theodore's boastful post and glared at her in disbelief. "How much did you give him?"
Isabella pushed him away in anger and sat up straight.
"Don't you know how much money I have?"
Isabella sneered. "But I promised him that I'd work for him, do anything for him."
Nathan snapped. He screamed in rage, "Isabella, you're my wife! You belong to me, and now you're working for another man. Are you trying to humiliate me?"
Isabella fiddled with the lock, giving him a playful smile. "I'm working for him, at least I'm getting a huge reward.
Nathan, what did I get working for you? Besides losing my kidney, what benefits did I get?"
Nathan was speechless.
Isabella shoved him aside and strutted upstairs.
Suddenly, Nathan shouted from behind, "Isabella, I want you to cancel your deal with Theodore. Give the lock back to him."
Isabella slowly turned around and made up an excuse. "My deal with Theodore is already in effect. If I break the contract, I'll have to pay double the penalty.
Are you willing to pay me ten billion?"
Nathan was filled with both shame and rage.
What shamed him was that he was financially strapped and couldn't come up with ten billion. What enraged him was that Theodore had manipulated Isabella so thoroughly. "Fool."
Nathan ground his teeth as he cursed Isabella.
But Isabella remained calm and composed, saying, "Nathan, if you're afraid I'll drag you down, then just divorce me."
"Isabella, between us, there's only widowhood, no divorce."
Back in the bedroom, Isabella took out the precious lock, letting it shimmer and flow in her hand. Yet her eyes slowly filled with deep sorrow.
"Mom, I know I'm dying soon. I overheard you talking with Auntie Doctor.
Mom, I know you're heartbroken, and you can't bear to lose me. But I have to leave you soon.
This lock, I've always worn it, but now I'm giving it to you. Let it stay with you and keep you company for me."
She cried uncontrollably: "No, Mom won't let you die, I won't let you go."
"Mom, don't be sad. I'll tell you a secret: if you wear this lock, you'll have many sweet dreams.
I dreamed of you and a handsome uncle. He loves you so much, Mom."
"Mom, Daddy loves Auntie more than he loves us. So we don't need him anymore.
We're taking back our love for him. You can go find that handsome uncle."
Tiny, chubby hands weakly wiped away the tears on her mother's face.
At that moment, her sadness overwhelmed her, like a river in flood. She had no energy left to consider her child's strange words.
As a result, she hadn't discovered the secret of the "City of Reincarnation" in time.
"Mom, you must wear the lock around your neck... please, don't let it be tricked away by Uncle."
The child clutched the lock around
her neck and pressed it into her
mother's hand. In her final moments,
her diminishing life force ra
surprising compassion.
It was a compassion that didn't fit a child's age.

She clung tightly to her daughter, but the little one's breath slipped away like sand slipping through her fingers-slowly, uncontrollably fading.
"Ah..."
The cry of agony echoed. Was it a dream or reality? Isabella couldn't tell anymore.
The heart-wrenching farewell, like a mark engraved in her bones, was awakened in an instant, and every cell in her body ached with excruciating pain.
Suddenly, Nathan heard a shriek from upstairs. His brows furrowed tightly.
Reluctantly, he stood up and marched toward the stairs.
He pushed open the door to Isabella's room and saw her curled up in a corner. Walking toward her, he asked, irritated, "What's going on?" Isabella looked up at him, her eyes bloodshot with fury.
Nathan assumed she had suffered
some injustice outside, and his tone was dismissive: "Hmph, Isabella, I warned you. You're a woman with neither brains nor wealth, yet you still wanted to do business with Theodore. What, did he bully you?"
He smirked and dragged over a chair to sit in front of her, a cruel glint in his eyes. "Go ahead, tell me how he bullied you. Should I go and avenge you?"
He didn't notice the storm brewing in
her eyes. Her gaze, no longer soft turned cold with anger. Suddenly, she erupted, kicking and hitting him with all her might.
"Nathan, I hate you. I hate you."
"Get out of my way. I never want to see you again."
Nathan frowned. "What the hell is wrong with you? I didn't provoke you. If you're so angry, go find the person who bullied you."
"Isabella, don't think that just because I'm your husband, I should pay for your foolish mistakes."
Isabella, as though completely mad, tore at him. "Divorce me, Nathan! I want a divorce!"
Nathan shoved her away, and Isabella collapsed weakly onto the floor.
Nathan, disgusted, brushed off the spots she had touched.
