Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan)

Chapter 56

Theodore was determined to get what he wanted. "Mr. Hill, can't you see? Miss Isabella is set on getting the 'City of Reincarnation.' I'm sure whatever conditions I offer, she will accept them without hesitation."

He paused for a moment, his eyes glittering with calculation, a mischievous glint in his charming peach blossom eyes. "She may not have the money, but once the deal is done, her debt will naturally transfer to you. After all, you and she are legally married." Nathan's face turned ashen with anger. He glared at Theodore, but seeing the devilish smile on his face, he knew there was no way to stop him. He decided to redirect his fury toward Isabella.

After all, controlling Isabella was much easier.

With a menacing look, Nathan barked at her, "I don't allow you to make a deal with him."

Isabella shot him a cold stare. "I want this lock, and I'll get it no matter what it takes."

Nathan's eyes filled with panic. "You're crazy! What do you have to offer him? You have no money, no business... All you have is a face that's barely passable..." He nearly shouted in frustration.

Isabella, however, decided to play to his emotions. "Nathan, you're my husband. Can't you help me buy this lock back?"

Nathan glanced at Victoria, his expression hesitant.

Isabella sneered, "Since you, as my husband, are unwilling to fulfill my wishes, then I'll go after it on my own. As for how I do it, it's none of your business."

With that, she turned and walked away without looking back.

Nathan was left seething with rage.

Three days later, Isabella arrived at the Sanchez family villa as promised.

Theodore sat in his study, his gaze fixed on the "City of Reincarnation" in his hand. A soft, affectionate smile appeared in his eyes.

A servant entered to report, "Young Master, Madam Hill requests to see you."

Theodore's smile faltered. His voice turned cold enough to freeze a cow. "From now on, don't call her Madam Hill. Just call her Miss Moore."

The servant was momentarily confused. He couldn't understand why Young Master had such a strange request. After all, Miss Isabella was indeed the wife of Mr. Hill. "Understood," the servant replied, yielding to his master's wishes.

Theodore's tone softened. "Please show her in."

The servant responded and went out.

Soon, the servant led Isabella into the study. "Young Master, Miss Moore is here."

Theodore waved his hand, signaling for the servant to leave. "You may go. I'm doing business with Miss Moore. No one is to interrupt unless I say so." "Yes, Young Master."

The servant exited and shut the door behind him.

Theodore immediately stood up from his chair and swiftly walked toward Isabella. His previously tense and serious face was now replaced with a smile. "Big Sis."

Isabella studied him. Theodore, without his suit jacket, was dressed in black trousers and a white shirt. His dark hair and eyes, paired with porcelain-like skin, gave him a clean, ethereal appearance, as though he had just stepped out of an ink painting. "Theodore, it seems you've grown taller again. You're looking more and more like an adult. It won't be long before you're standing on your own two feet. The doubts and criticisms against you will only fade away. Your future is getting brighter." Isabella smiled in genuine pride.

Theodore was now a head taller than Isabella. He stood before her and took her hand, placing it against his cheek with a youthful, almost spoiled expression. "Big Sis, in front of you, I don't want to grow up. I want to receive your New Year's red envelopes every year and have you make me beautiful clothes for my birthday..."

Isabella's eyes softened with affection. "Alright, I wish Theodore could stay a child forever."

After some pleasantries, Theodore finally handed over the "City of Reincarnation" lock to Isabella. "Sis, why are you so obsessed with this lock?"

After all, from what he knew of Isabella, she was someone who was indifferent to fame and fortune.

Isabella held the lock, her hands trembling with excitement.

"Theodore, I have a secret, one that I can't tell you yet. Don't ask now, but in time, when the opportunity comes, you will understand." Theodore swiftly changed the topic, his tone light. "Since you like this lock so much, I'll give it to you."

Isabella looked up in shock and then immediately shook her head. "Theodore, this is too expensive. I can't accept such an extravagant gift from you." Theodore forced the lock into her hands. "Sis, don't worry. I'm not making a bad deal. The five billion, I'll make sure that Nathan repays it with interest." Isabella smiled bitterly. "How could he possibly spend money on me?"

Theodore's smile was enigmatic. "Sis, if he refuses to repay you, he'll only have one option: divorce you."

Isabella was struck by a sudden realization. The sadness in her black eyes gave way to a long-forgotten, youthful gleam of innocence and carefree joy. "Theodore, you've really helped me so much."

She looked at him with gratitude.

Theodore smiled softly. "Sis, I promise you, I will help you break free from Nathan's shackles."

Isabella took out a bank card from

her purse and handed it to him. "Even if Nathan won't help me with the five billion, I can still repay it myself. Theodore, this is my salary card, with ninety million in it. In the future, all my earnings will be deposited here. I will make enough money to repay you the five billion."

Theodore took the card with a charming smile. "You're giving me all your money. Does that mean you're supporting me now?"

Isabella's graceful face showed a gentle but stern expression. "You, Young Master Sanchez, have only been like this for a short time, and already you've learned all the carefree arrogance of a young nobleman." She sighed and continued, "Our worth is now worlds apart. Even if I wanted to support you, I'm afraid you no longer need it."

Theodore returned the card to her,

his expression growing serious. "Sis, why do you have to calculate everything so clearly between us? You're my savior, and I won't let you

be so polite with me. No matter 19

what happens in the future, the feelings we have for each other, the bond we share, cannot be measured by money. Don't say I spent five billion for you-once I make money, I wouldn't hesitate to spend hundreds of billions on you."

Isabella stared at him, her eyes brimming with emotion. She had always known that he would become a ruthless, cold-blooded businessman, decisive and

calculating in the business wel net

But she had never imagined he

could also be this innocent and grateful, a good-hearted child who knows how to repay favors.

What could have driven him to become that terrifying, merciless figure in the business world?

"Theodore, I really hope you can always stay this simple and pure."

Don't become the heartless business tycoon.

Theodore teased her, "Sis, the temptations in business are too great. It's hard not to lose my original intentions. But as long as you're there, whispering advice in my ear every day, I think I can stay true to myself." Isabella nodded earnestly. "Alright, from now on, don't complain that I'm nagging."

Theodore's dark eyes suddenly became deep and solemn. "Sis, you must live a long life so you can stay by my side forever."

Isabella froze. In her past life, she had been short-lived.

But in this life, with her heart sealed and love cut off, she was determined to live a long and prosperous life.

"Don't worry, I'll stay with you until we grow old together."

Theodore's eyes sparkled with emotion and a smile.

"Mm."
