Chapter 77. The Business World Shock
THE BUSINESS WORLD SHOCK
"Alan you're still here?" I asked and told him to wait and join us at the table for dinner.
This time to my surprise Damon was telling him to join us for dinner.
The maids hurriedly set the table for dinner without any hitch.
"Alan, how's the business strategy going?" Damon asked without lifting his head to look at the person he was talking to.
"Everything is on track just waiting for the signal to execute the plan is all that's left."
"Both of you lack table manners right?" Ronnie asked both of them angrily because she was left in the dark about what was happening so she was not interested to listen. Damon couldn't refute what she said, instead, he glanced at Alan and continued his meal.
The dining hall became silent and the only sound one can hear is the munching of the grilled chicken in our mouths.
All the maids and bodyguards were shocked. Why is Damon acting so obediently because of miss KATIE? So this cold-blooded beast could be tamed all this long.
I could see the shocked expression all over their faces.
Ronnie became uncomfortable because the various eye stared at her. "Everyone leave," Damon said authoritatively with looking at them.
Ronnie wanted to say something but just buried her tongue back.
"If you're not comfortable with many people around you, just fire the ones you don't like." The voice was so mild but the message was clear for me to understand what was in. Ronnie excused herself after eating her meal and retired back upstairs leaving Damon and Alan to finish their conversation.
"Make sure everything goes as planned before morning." Damon was so angry when he spoke.
"Everything will surely be executed smoothly boss," Alan was so confident about himself but the confidence was snatched away immediately after his words came to an end.
"Like the way, everything went smoothly at the shopping mall, right? If it ever happens again, I will make sure I cripple all of you without showing mercy. And before you execute the plan I want that shopping mall included." Damon said and left Alan standing like a sculpture.
That night will happen to be the most unforgettable in the business world.
A major shock was set to happen the following morning in New York City. Because all the major businesses will change ownership in just a night.
Alan started to execute his strategies bit by bit and before long, every call he made turned out to be a success.
Slowly, everyone in the city woke up to behold a drastic change in front of their eyes.
Damon was still in bed when his phone buzzed and brought us back to the reality of a new dawn.
"Yes, it better be good news otherwise," Damon said immediately after he received the call.
"It's all done as planned," Alan replied from the other side of the phone.
"Nice work to everyone." Damon was still expressionless but my instinct was telling me his happy and fulfilled inside.
"What's the good news?" Ronnie asked immediately Damon hung up the call.
"It's just a little upgrade in the business world," Damon replied to Ronnie's question nonchalantly.
New York City times magazine headlines read,
The business world is in shock over the revolution.
"Where were you when all these changes took place, you imbeciles? You all know I have been the head of the table in the business world for decades and now some irrelevant greenhorn just overtook me and become the head of the table." Mr. Cameron was so infuriated with his subordinate.
"Now tell me who's behind all this commotion happening in the city and my territory." Mr. Cameron asked angrily.
"Sir, the thing is nobody knows who's controlling the flames at the moment. But a close friend of mine working at Lakeland restaurant said the new owner will unveil the new name by 1 pm today." His assistant replied to him. Mr. Cameron was so infuriated that he almost puked blood.
At the same time, some major players in various fields of business were thrown into disarray because of the takeover of many businesses.
In the lounge area of the emerald intercontinental hotel, many major players in the business world were gathered together trying to figure out who suddenly took over many businesses overnight.
"Mr. Cameron, hope you are not trying to play games with us right?" A middle-aged man asked.
The rest people present glared in Mr. Cameron's direction because that has been his lifelong plan to take over all the middle and major businesses in New York City.
"Everyone calm down." Mr. Cameron said with an angry voice.
The lounge was thrown into silence before Mr. Cameron spoke again, "have been trying to reach all former owners of the businesses that have now changed ownership, but the funny thing here is all of them traveled out of the country some days back."
Immediately he finished his words, the same middle-aged man that confronted him earlier, said again, "Mr. Cameron, we all know you're an ambitious businessman and we all respect you. But telling us you don't know who is antagonizing the business world is unacceptable."
The lounge area was again thrown into disarray and the air inside became tense.
But before anyone else could say anything, the lobby manager of the hotel knocked at the door of the lounge with twenty muscular guards and said,
"Please gentlemen, it will be nice for you people to reduce your voices because the new chairman of the hotel is about making a press conference." He said amidst smiling professionally. "Let's go out and see who the new chairman is then." Mr. Cameron said smiling at the rest.
But behold the greatest shock was awaiting all of them.
At that moment at the entrance to the hotel, several reporters were waiting to get a glimpse of the mysterious tycoon who was able to cause an imbalance in the business world overnight. "Look is that not Mr. Cameron?" One of the reporters said.
At that moment, an entourage of seven expensive cars drove to a stop at the entrance and many bodyguards on black stepped out of their cars waiting for their boss to step out of his. "Wow, that's the grandest entrance in this century." A reporter said smiling.
The Rolls Royce Phantom in the convey opened and a middle-aged man stepped out causing the reporters to hurriedly rushed over to take his photograph and interview him.
