Chapter 21. Pervert
"Is the miss ready? The boss awaits her at the mansion and we don't have to be late. You know how despises that." Alan said and smirked.
Ronnie then knew it was time to go and start the real reason she came into the mansion.
Mrs. Philips, smiling, walked towards Ronnie.
"Dear, I think it's time," She said, sweetly.
Daniel, standing up from his seat, turned toward them. "I think I'll start going from here, I have an appointment in the next hour." He said, glancing at his watch.
"Ok, doc." Mrs. Philips said and smiled gently at him.
Daniel strode out of the house toward his car.
"Will you be ok?" Mrs. Philips asked Ronnie, concerned.
"I'll be fine," She replied.
"I think we need to start going," Alan said, impatient.
"I need to get my bags," Ronnie said and made to go upstairs.
"No need for that, your clothes are already prepared there, let's go the way you are," He said and started walking out the door.
Ronnie finished her conversation with her mother and walked toward where Alan parked the car.
She slid into the passenger's seat and sat down quietly. Alan looked at her weirdly, the Katie he knew would want to drive her car and even though she would go with him, she would sit in the front seat. He just shrugged off the quirky feeling he was having. He started the engine and drove.
Ronnie was in deep thought while on the way. How will she react when she gets there? How is that place? Would the man be cruel? All these thoughts kept ringing in her head until Alan spoke.
"It was quite a show you displayed the other day with the waitress." He smirked
"Huh? What show?" She asked trying to hide her confusion.
"Don't tell me you forgot your first date with my boss." He said.
"Oh, that. I was great wasn't I?" She asked, totally oblivious to what he was saying.
"Great? What are you saying? You ruined your first date," He said, surprised at how naive she could be.
"You think your boss will be mad at me for doing what I did?" She asked, not knowing how to put her choice of words.
Alan just shook his head in pity. "I don't know anything about that. Just don't get him mad at you," He notified. "I can see you've learned your lesson by not being rude today, tell me what changed you?" He asked, eyeing her from the mirror. "Umm...let's just say being rude wasn't my thing," She said, hoping he'd believe her.
"Wish I could believe that," He said and shrugged
The drive was quiet afterward. They arrived at e mansion in no time and Ronnie opened the door and stepped out.
Alan walks up to her in astonishment. "Why didn't you wait for me to come to open the door for you?" He asked.
"Maybe next time," She said and ignored him.
If she was gonna survive here, she has to behave like Katie, really behave like Katie.
She walked exactly the way she'd seen Katie walk. She swayed her hips while walking and didn't look back till she was inside. She then turned to Alan.
"Where should my room be, I don't want to get too exhausted." She said rudely
Alan sighed. "There goes her being nice for one day," He muttered to himself.
He walked her to her room. She looked at him and smiled.
"Thanks for showing me this room, it's the ugliest I've ever seen but who am I to argue," Ronnie said.
Alan's mouth opened wildly but he closed it immediately. "Well, I hope you enjoy your stay,"
"What to enjoy, the room or what. You may leave or do you want to follow me in and see me undress?" She asked, more rudely this time.
"I dare not," Alan said and left immediately.
Ronnie berthed a sigh of relief and went inside her room. She slumped on the bed.
It's been two days now that she's been living in the house, doing nothing. She didn't know what to do around here and she was bored. She began to feel hungry and decided to go down and sort something to eat.
She opened the big closet there and saw numerous dresses and choose a plain shirt and short knickers. She walked downstairs toward where she thought was the kitchen when she jumped into a maid. "Are you blind or something," The maid said rudely to her.
Ronnie looked at the maid, shocked at her outburst.
"Are you crazy, mad, a lunatic, or stupid?" Ronnie asked, bringing out the best of Katie in her.
The maid looked her in the eyes and sneered.
"Who are you, a new maid, I suppose. I'm the head maid and you don't talk to me like that," The maid bragged.
Ronnie smiled at her and walked past her. She would deal with her later. For now, she was hungry.
She strode over to the kitchen to get something to eat and smiled when she saw the refrigerator.
She opened it and brought out the mayonnaise and a big piece of bread. She walked out toward the dining table and sat down to make something tangible for herself before she starve to death. She moaned once the milky taste of the tea touched her sense buds. She was still munching on her food when she felt a strong and intimidating presence behind her.
"What do you think you're doing?" The voice thundered.
Ronnie flinched and abruptly turned around.
She met the fierce gaze of Damon.
"Umm...eating...I guess," She replied, almost whispering.
"Why didn't you order the maids to get you something to eat?" He asked again. "I tried, but got insulted before I could say anything," She replied and shrugged.
"You got insulted and didn't throw a tantrum? That's weird," He said, amusingly.
Ronnie, realizing her mistakes, looked at him and frowned.
"Who says I ain't gonna throw a tantrum, don't get me wrong Mr, I will deal with that lowly maid once I'm done getting my tummy filled." She replied and ignored him. Damon shocked at how she ignored him, smirked.
"So aren't supposed to welcome me after seeing me for the first time today?" He asked
"And why would I do that, you pervert? I'm gonna get married to a man I barely know and here is another lunatic telling me to welcome him. How weird are people in the house supposed to be?" Ronnie asked, rolling her eyes. Alan, standing beside him, almost burst out in laughter hit held himself. Damon looked at her, shocked at her outburst.
"How dare you?" He roared
"How dare you what?" Ronnie asked, seeming unconcerned.
Alan couldn't control himself anymore, he burst out laughing so hard, tears rolling out of his eyes.
"And what's funny?" Damon asked.
"Sorry boss, she just seems so crazy right now," He confessed.
At the word, boss, Ronnie's heart accelerated, and she knew she had made a very big mistake that couldn't be corrected. "What the hell," She muttered to herself.
