The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage by Chu

Chapter 2105

The thugs were surprised by Lara's strength, but they still had numbers on their side.

Blondie led the charge, but it really did not work as Lara's long legs swung at them like scythes, quickly flooring each of them.

In four minutes, Lara wiped the sweat off her brow after taking down most of the thugs. "Anything else? I didn't even have fun!"

Blondie smirked. "Don't get so full of yourself just yet. I still have the good stuff!"

Whipping out a stun baton, he dashed straight toward Lara.

"Despicable!"

Lara simply sidestepped Blondie and punched him in the face, knocking him out cold.

"Anyone else?"

The floored thugs promptly shook his head, never expecting that the pretty face was not just a pretty face and was far beyond them in martial arts.

It was not just them either-Frank was shocked too!

Strictly speaking, it was definitely difficult for Lara to be this accomplished in martial arts when she had no cultivation!

"No? Then leave!" Lara's tone turned cold.

Terrified, the thugs picked up the unconscious Blondie and hurried back the way they came.

To prevent further intruders, Frank and Lara followed them all the way to a broken shrine in the village, which they had used to enter!

"Whoa, that's plenty of entrances into the tomb!"

Lara was earnestly impressed the construction of the tomb was just as advanced as modern basements!

However, the thugs were just about to leave when someone touched something.

There was a mechanical creaking as gears moved. With a loud rumble, the floor suddenly crumbled, and everyone fell!

"Ow!"

Lara struggled to her feet in the darkness, only to miss her step and fall squarely into Frank's arms, blushing.

Frank helped her to her feet and sighed as he glanced at his glowless ring.

Picking up a flashlight that the thugs dropped, he looked around-it appeared to be a hallway, with the walls tiled with white marble. Even the roof was tiled with imagery of constellations, a far better sight than the route they had taken earlier.

Amazing... So the passage above was a diversion, while another one lay below!

Frank then glanced at the thugs, who were all groaning in pain but fortunately alive.

"How do we get out of here?" Lara then asked.

Frank looked up and found in curiosity that the ceiling overhead did not collapse-it looked like they were teleported there. "It must be some sort of contraption!"

Frank sighed as he realized the reason-there must have been a switch at the entrance that opened this passage under the passage. It also closed soon after it was opened, so they would not be able to find the entrance.

"Well, what should we do?" Lara clung to Frank's arm in reflex.

Frank shrugged. "We're in here anyway. We could head further in!"

In reality, he would be able to find the contraption switch if he had wanted, but he did not want to leave now that his ring was not glowing.

After all, the ring not glowing meant this was where it wanted Frank to

go, and even Frank was reluctant to

leave without looking around

"It's quite dangerous here. You'd better be sure about this!" Lara warned.

"It's fine. I can deal with anything thrown my way."

Seeing who determined Frank was, Lara steeled herself and nodded. "I'll stay."

Frank nodded and walked up to the thugs. "You'll all wait here. I'll get you out when I get back!"

The thugs, who were not moving in the first place, immediately nodded at Frank's instruction.

With that done, Frank led Lara inside, arriving directly beneath the flatlands where there were countless rooms.
