Chapter 186 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
Nap time didn't entail much napping. I wasn't complaining. Even if this didn't result in my first pregnancy scare, the taunting was worth the end result.
I feel relaxed and loose all over. Even better than that, something about my magic felt more alive. I didn't have to make a conscious effort to feel for it in my veins. It was so natural, feeling the pulsing and tingling inside my body, it was like breathing or blinking. I wasn't trying to control it, but at the same time I was.
Mick was taking me from behind not long ago, my hair twirled into his fists. I was about to cum again and suddenly wanted to be in control.
Without even realizing I had done it, I moved my magic over him, the purple spark traveling up his arm where he was locked around my hair. We were suddenly flipped, my magic jerking us around, so he was on his back, and I was riding him backwards. His dick never left my cunt. Another time, Miles was being too tender with me, taking me deep but painstakingly slow. My heels were digging into his ass, urging him to go harder and faster, but he just chuckled and continued the slow torture.
My magic then flowed down to my feet, zipping him into motion. He yelped and cursed, then growled in ecstasy as my power forced him to slam relentlessly into me. A scream so powerful it shook the room ripped out of me as he and I both came at the same time. It was amazing. My magic has felt so unstable since I unlocked it, but that instability was completely gone. It was like the more at peace I was with my mates, the more in sync I was with them, the more in sync I became with the magic within me.
Eventually, both my mates collapsed. I knew I was a lot to handle, and I was feeling pretty smug about the work I made them put in.
"Let's hope for a pregnancy scare now," Cortina giggled.
The thought of being pregnant used to send a wave of negative emotions through me, but surprisingly, I felt giddy thinking about it now. "We can only hope."
"Really?" Cortina laughed with surprise. "Because it's your obligation?"
"No. Because thinking about a set of twin boys as adorable and bossy as their daddies makes me want to hop back on both of them until we succeed." I smiled, looking down at my sleeping mates splayed out on either side of me. Miles was drooling on my pillow, his face relaxed as he curled around me on my right. Mick was lying crookedly on his stomach, one hand dangling off the bed while his feet tangled with mine. "Can't you just imagine what mini versions of them would look like?"
"A little troublemaker and a mini stoic mama's boy," Cortina chuckled. "They would be little heartbreakers. But what if you get a girl? Or better yet, twin girls?"
Glancing at both of my mates again, I pictured their personalities with feminine faces. "I think the results would be about the same," I laughed.
As I was still staring at my mates, smiling at myself while picturing what mini versions of themselves would be like, a soft knock sounded at the door. Then a mind link came through from Nonna.
"You've been cooped up in there all day! Do you need me to come save you?"
I laughed softly at the urgency in her tone. I knew she would bust through the doors and topple over both my mates for hiding me away if I told her too. We've skipped too many meals today, which is probably why she was here. "I'm perfectly safe. The men just needed their naps."
"Well," she huffed, "you need to have a good meal at least once today."
I covered my laugh with my hand. I was right.
"Dinner is ready. Get your skinny tail end downstairs or I'm dragging all three of you down."
"Yes, Nonna," I couldn't help but grin at the feisty old lady. "I'll be down soon."
Her huffing and muttered complaints could still be heard in the mind link as she walked away. She wanted me to know she was serious. Nonna doesn't play around with her threats.
If we had a daughter or two, I would want them to be just like their great grandma.
As I was getting dressed, I wrestled with the thought of waking my mates, or letting them sleep. They needed the rest, and the Alpha had been dealt with. Boyd too, for that matter.
I decided to let them sleep, and instead, peeked my head out the door to see if there was someone guarding our room.
"Hey," Cindy grinned, leaning casually against the wall. "I was tasked with bringing our Luna to dinner."
"You?" I lifted my eyebrow.
Cindy made a face, like he was not pleased with my response. "Does my presence offend you?"
"No, no," I quickly backpedaled, realizing that had come out ruder than I intended. "Sorry. I just expected Jamie or Lenny. They're my usual babysitters."
His purple painted lips pulled into a tight smile. "Both were occupied. It seems babysitting you is a draining task."
"Huh."
"Is it just me, or does he sound snottier than usual?" Cortina asked me, studying Cindy.
"He definitely doesn't sound off."
There was a hostility coming from Cindy I had never felt before. Even when I would say rash things in the past, he would usually just laugh it off or roll his eyes. The disdain I felt from him was unsettling. "You don't have to take me down to dinner if it's so draining," I said flatly. "I can wake my mates."
He sighed like he was exasperated. "Just come on."
"Sure," I murmured, closing the door softly behind me.
"Something really doesn't feel right with him," Cortina said, fully alert for some reason.
My magic was coursing through my veins too, flowing strongly like it knew something I didn't.
"It's Cindy. What could be...."
My voice trailed off as I recalled the information we had learned earlier from the broken Alpha. The reason Mick had to pull Lenny and Jamie aside and question them before they could enter the interrogation room with us.
I was about to turn and command Boyd like Mick did to my other babysitters earlier, but before I could, I felt a tiny prick in the side of my neck. My wolf was suddenly cut off from me as the burning ice of wolfsbane fought against my Luna abilities. My magic was stirring, ready to lash out, but that fizzled out too.
My mouth tasted like cotton, dry and then going sour. There was something else in that drug besides wolfsbane.
Cindy shushed me, gently laying my body on the ground as he pulled something else out from his jacket. It was a potion to mask one's scent.
"Y-you... You-re the..."
"I'm sorry, Chloe," he mumbled, not looking sorry in the least. "I had to. I can't have you ruining anything else."
What was he talking about? I tried to ask, but my mouth wouldn't move. I just croaked and then choked as he dumped the first vile down my throat.
I tried to force my eyes to remain open, scared of what would happen if they closed. It was a hard-pressed fight.
Cindy jerked me up into his arms, carrying me roughly as he hurried through the halls. Before we were even down the stairs, my eyes had grown too heavy and closed, throwing me into a world of darkness.
ལ
Alexi POV
"We'll take care of him from here."
Three warriors from our old pack stepped up and volunteered to take care of Alpha Ford's body. It was a relief for Beau and me. Even though the pack was in mourning over their lost Alpha, no one at first was willing to step up and handle transporting him back home to be laid to rest. The three warriors, a grandson of the Beta from my childhood, and his two friends, volunteered since he was the highest ranking wolf to survive Laura's reign of terror.
The pack's future was uncertain, and the pain from losing an Alpha is monumental. Still, there was a sense of relief that Laura and the dark entity that had snaked his way into their pack was no longer an issue.
"Thank fuck that's over with," Beau groaned, twisting and popping his neck. "I'm starving."
"Dinner's probably being served now," I replied absentmindedly. I had other things on my mind than food. "Hey, have you Cindy at all today?" I asked as we walked out of the warrior building.
"Cindy?" Beau threw his head back as he thought. "I don't think I've seen him. I haven't been running on all cylinders today though, so I could have and just forgot."
"That's what I figured," I sighed.
Man, I was dreading having this talk with the Alphas. I was hoping to talk to Cindy himself, but I couldn't find him. Once I voice my suspicions to someone else, it won't matter if I'm right or wrong, it's going to turn into a big deal. It's going to start crumbling the foundation of trust our Broom StiXXX unit has built over the years.
More than anything, my biggest reason for hesitating is that it's going to break him if it ends up being true.
Winnie.
My little oblivious kitten....
Winnie is our biggest advocate of being a family. He needs us as a family unit more than anyone else. He never had stability in his life before coming to us. Because of the vile things his birth mother did to him, it took him a long time to be open and comfortable with all of us. His cat-like tendencies cause him to distance himself from everyone else. If he doesn't trust someone, he will avoid them. Hide. Run.
If I was the one to break his trust in our family unit, I don't know if I could forgive myself....
But then there is Chloe. She's family too, and she's now my Luna. If she gets hurt because I didn't voice a concern I had, I will never be able to forgive myself.
"Hey, isn't that Cindy right there?" Beau pointed to Cindy walking behind the pack house from one of the side doors. It was hard to see him from this far away, but his dyed hair gave him away.
He was walking in the shadows next to the thickest part of the woods, like he was trying to stay out of sight. When he turned sideways to head for his car in the farthest corner of the parking lot, a spot in the darkest shade, I quickly figured out why.
A womanly figure was splayed across his arms, dark hair billowing in the wild. She was unmistakable. He had Chloe.
"What's he doing?" Beau asked as Cindy managed to open his back door with his foot and toss Chloe in.
"Shit," I hissed, then took off running towards him, my worst fears coming true. "Go get the Alphas!" I yelled back at Beau, right before my wolf ripped out of my body and took control.
Cindy heard me, his glittering eyes going wide as he quickly opened his driver's door and jumped in. The engine started right as my paws touched the pavement, and he was driving off, going straight through the lawn in a fraction of a second, not bothering to back up out of his spot. My wolf raced behind him as I mind linked everyone that our Luna was being taken. Howls were echoing in the air, and paws were pounding on the ground all around me now.
I almost had him. I had stayed on his tail as he raced down the road, my lungs burning from the strain it took to keep up. Right when I thought I was close enough to lunge forward and throw my wolf's body through the back window, a swirling black hole opened in front of Cindy's car, swallowing the entire vehicle in its entirety before closing on my face.
My wolf skidded to a stop, burning his paws on the pavement as he circled around. He ignored the burn and paced around, his nose to the ground as he tried to find some trail, some trace of where they may have disappeared, or at least a direction to follow. Anything. There was nothing. No scent at all. It was like he masked them or something.
Other warriors were joining me now, and questions started to flood my mind. I couldn't pick out any of them in my frantic state. Not until two booming howling joined the mix.
My wolf tucked his tail, his ears going flat when my Alphas parted the sea of warriors to get to me. The gray and black wolves were seething, teeth bared as they looked at me for answers.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" Mick's voice exploded in my head, my back bowing at his commanding tone.
"C-Cindy.... Cindy took her, Alpha. I... I was too late...."
