Chapter 146 -
Asher released the security guard and approached Savannah's office with a poker face. The office was separated using glass walls that had carved patterns etched across the middle part. The bottom walls were transparent, so Asher looked down to see a pair of beautiful and slender legs. "Open up." Asher pushed the door, realizing that it had been locked from the inside.
Savannah was so scared that she could not say a thing. Her beautiful face was filled with terror. She had no idea what to do; now that Asher was angered by her actions, she would have to face the terrible consequences.
"Open! Up!" Asher's voice became extremely cold. Savannah shuddered immediately, not knowing if she should open the door or not.
It was obvious that Asher's patience had reached its limit. Seeing as Savannah refused to open
the door, he grabbed a swirling office chair and smashed it against the glass door.
A few cowardly women quickly covered their ears out of instinct when they saw that scene.
A loud crash sounded as the glass door was instantly reduced into a pile of shards. Asher's strength was fully demonstrated with that attack.
Savannah collapsed onto the couch, chaos already running rampant in her mind. She was shell- shocked, to say the least.
"Savannah Anderson, you crossed the line recently, didn't you? First, you tried to hurt Griffin with your scheme. Then, you attempted to pull a trick on me. Do you really think you can do anything you want and get away scot-free just because you're under Rose's protection?" Asher kicked the chair away and strode toward Savannah.
Savannah tried to stand up, but Asher lifted his right leg and stomped on the couch in a domineering way. He looked down at her like he was a mighty ruler. Savannah did not dare to move for fear that she might anger Asher to the point where he might do unexpected things to her.
Her face reddened unconsciously as she tried her best to keep her composure. "Tristan got hospitalized a few times thanks to you two. As his older sister, how could I just sit by and watch? Asher, I admit that I can't afford to provoke you, but as long as I'm alive, I won't regret the things I've done. Go ahead and kill me if that's what you want."
"Kill you? Do you think I want to do that right now?" Asher's lips were slightly curled upward as he spoke. An evil smile was curled on his lips as he pressed his body onto Savannah slowly, causing her to lean into the couch as much as she could. She quickly placed her hands on Asher's thigh in an attempt to stop him from inching any closer. "Asher, you bastard!" she screamed out of embarrassment.
At that moment, all the staff members had run to the doorway to see what was going on. A few prude women blushed heavily at the scene, their hearts filled with shock.
Savannah was definitely an ice-cold beauty whenever she was in the company. Almost everyone who worked there feared her. However, she was being pinned down on the couch by that unknown man right now without the courage to fight back. Who on earth was that man? "What are you all looking at? Get the hell out!" Savannah shrieked.
The employees who were peeking into the office quickly fled the scene.
"Asher, what the hell do you want?" Savannah finally relented.
The aforementioned man could not help but sneak a few peeks in Savannah's direction. Despite her vile nature, she was still blessed with good looks and a great figure. The sight of her in that professional outfit and that tight skirt made her look extremely charming.
Having had his fill of looking at her, Asher put down his right leg and demanded in a low voice, "Call Griffin right now. You know what to tell him."
As he spoke, he sank into the executive chair, lit a cigarette, and started smoking on the spot. Savannah clutched her chest with one hand while glaring daggers at Asher. After that, she remained silent for a long time before she finally took a deep breath and pulled out her phone to dial Griffin's number. "I was the one who sent you those pictures. They were drugged back then, so they didn't know anything at all."
"What's the use of telling me this now? Asher and I are over! From now on, we will no longer keep in touch! I, Griffin Quinn, always keep my promises! Then again, Anderson, don't let me see you ever again! Otherwise, you'll know the consequences!" After that, Griffin hung up on Savannah.
When Savannah made the call, she had placed the call on speaker mode, so Asher could hear what Griffin said word for word. The expression on his face froze immediately; never in a million years would he expect Griffin to refuse to forgive him despite hearing the explanation. "Well, I've already called him and told him what I have to say. I can't do anything about his refusal to forgive you, so there's that," Savannah said with a poker face.
"You're the one who caused this mess! Do you honestly think you can shirk the responsibilities to someone else?"
"As you know, I work for Rose. Go look for her instead if you have the balls. What's the point of bullying me, huh? All you've succeeded in doing is make me look down on you!" Savannah retorted sternly.
What she did not know was that Rose had arrived at the public office and heard Savannah's words. Something seemed to have struck her heart, making her pause for a few seconds before turning on her heel and walking away.
In the office, Asher could not help but chuckle coldly. "There are plenty of people who look down on me in Alexandrius. Who the hell do you think you are? I'll give you two options. Number one,
call the remaining members of the Gentlemen and tell them to rush over to Sky Bar. Option two is to let me strip you naked and make your life miserable!"
Savannah could not do anything at all. The man in front of her was a keeper of his word. She had witnessed his ability two years ago.
No matter what, she did not want Asher to strip her on the spot. Moreover, both of them were in her company right now. There were a lot of people watching them.
After struggling with herself, Savannah could only follow Asher's instructions and inform the Gentlemen's members to meet up at Sky Bar in an hour.
Savannah was the second-in-command in the Gentlemen. Also, she played the role as Rose's messenger all the time, so no one suspected the message this time. They all thought that Rose had something urgent to discuss with them.
It had been a few days since Sky Bar last opened its doors to the public. Nina had given Asher the key to the bar previously. Later on, Asher had given it to Hunter.
Once Savannah was done with the call, Asher sent Hunter a text message, telling him to bring his men to Sky Bar and wait for the Gentlemen's members to arrive before dishing out a good beating to them. There was no need for Hunter and his men to hold back.
"You can go now." Savannah glared at Asher furiously as if she was about to kill him. Even though she did not know the reason behind Asher's order to gather the Gentlemen's members at Sky Bar, one thing was for sure; he was definitely up to no good.
If Savannah remembered correctly, Sky Bar was Joel Harrison's territory. Could it be that Asher and Joel were up to no good?
Then again, the Schmidts and the Harrisons had always been at odds with each other. Hence, it was completely possible for Asher to work with Joel.
The more Savannah thought about it, the grimmer her expression became. If the remaining precious members of the Gentlemen were to be harmed in any way, how on earth would she be able to explain herself to Rose?
That was why Savannah had to find a way to get Asher out of her office. Then, she would try to come up with a plan to stop whatever he was planning.
"Put on your clothes. We're going to Sky Bar together." Naturally, Asher knew what Savannah was thinking. Even if he were to leave, he had to bring her along. That woman was a sly vixen, after all.
"No way!" Savannah rejected on the spot. "My makeup is ruined because of you! How the hell can I go out in public like this? You can go by yourself!"
Asher just chuckled coldly. "I'll give you five minutes. I'll be waiting outside." He took a few steps before turning around to look at her again. "Give me your phone."
He had to be extra vigilant around Savannah.
Left without a choice, the latter could only submit her phone.
Asher left the office with Savannah's phone and opened her Whatsapp. Soon, he found the pictures that she had sent to Rose the night before.
Asher happened to be hugging Dove in those pictures. Since the blanket was covering their chests, they gave everyone the impression that they were not wearing anything underneath. Hence, Asher was sure that those pictures were most definitely sent to Griffin's phone. Otherwise, the latter would not have been this furious.
He took a deep puff from his cigarette as his slender fingers tapped on the screen rapidly. A message was soon sent to Rose's phone.
Rose was stunned the moment she received that message. Why would Savannah send her such messages? Then, she was quick to realize that something was off. Asher must be the one who sent her that weird message.
At that moment, a new message popped up on her screen.
