Preslie's face was covered in tears as she said, "We can't accept such a fate and neither will Yesseca."

Matthew looked at Preslie and said, "That's why we ought to remain optimistic and comfort Yesseca through this. Prelise, you're keeping watch over her tonight, be mindful not to say anything depressing to her." After a short pause, Matthew looked at the rest of the group and said, "This isn't just the case for Preslie, we all have to keep this in mind."

"She will be feeling the most depressed about this, so we have to be careful not to encourage it."

Preslie and Kylin nodded.

Selina held on to Matthew's hand.

Matthew's large palm was warm and gave her some comfort.

She then remembered how she had been framed so many years ago. She felt her life passing by at a breakneck pace until he found her. He gave her strength and peace of mind.

He even said that if she died, he would take some poison and go along with her.

He said that he'd go to heaven along with her.

Selina was so touched to hear him say this, so she got better.

She looked at Matthew with her pale face and said, "Matthew, I need some air. Will you come with me?"

Matthew agreed, "Okay."

The two of them walked out of the hospital.

Free from the suffocating smell of disinfectant, Selina finally felt relieved but still looked sad.

Matthew whispered, "Selina, were you thinking about the past?"

She turned to him, surprised, "How did you know?" "We've been married for so many years. I can tell what's on your mind with one look."

Selina's eyelashes trembled. "Yes, I

was thinking about the past. Matthew all those years ago, I had to go through the same thing. Now Yesseca is having a heart condition as well. Seems that God is punishing

us

She was very certain that neither of them had done anything to deserve this, especially Yesseca. She was such a nice person. God did not have to treat her like this!

She had always been sick as a child.

After that operation she was fine, but now, so many years later she had fallen sick again and was brought back into another hospital. The problem was much worse now.

If she had been a regular person, she would have been marked as dead right away.

It was because of both her's and Matthew's wealth and influence that the doctor's were willing to continue looking for a suitable heart donor for Yesseca. "Selina, back then you were able to find a donor and got better." Matthew added, "I hope the same can happen to Yesseca."

"But I got my life back thanks to Lothar's sacrifice. What does Yesseca have?" Selina asked.

"Money! The only thing we have to help save her life is money!" Matthew sighed, "This isn't them humane way of doing it, but it's the only option we have."

Selina listened quietly.

She couldn't accept it back then.

But now that Yesseca's was going through it, she had no choice but to accept it.

Because even though this went against human nature, even if people would criticize her and call her a monster, she would still do it!

She would, because Yesseca was the last surviving member of the Cowell family.

On top of that, Lothar had told her to take good care of Yesseca before he died. She was going to keep that promise.
