My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2421

Because Yesseca had been in so much pain, the doctor gave her an injection that helped to relieve the pain in her heart. Yesseca was still unconscious on the flight home, completely unaware of the world around her. They arrived back in Agaphen City the following day.

Kyi in and Preslie took Yesseca to the best hospital in Agaphen City for a check up. The results that came back were the same.

It was likely that the hospital in Agaphen City wasn't as advanced as the one in the United States as the doctor said that Yesseca's case was a hopeless one.

At most, she only had three months to live.

Even though Preslie and Kyi in were prepared for this, they were both still shocked. After staying quiet for half an hour, Preslie muttered, "Is... Is Yesseca really going to die?"

Kyi in's face paled as he said, "I'm going to give my cousin a call. Maybe he might know what to do."

An hour later, Kylin made his way to the Perry family villa to see Selina.

Hearing the news, Selina's eyes widened in shock, "Where is Yesseca? I have to and see her right now!"

She then stood up and rushed away to get ready, but after taking a few steps, she slipped and fell to the ground.

She woke up later that evening.

As soon as she woke up, she saw Matthew sitting by the bed.

She then sat up, looked at Matthew and said, "Oh Matthew, I must have had a terrible nightmare. It was horrible! Tell me none of that is real!"

Matthew's eyes showed that he was in a lot of pain.

He didn't want Selina to feel this way, nor did he want to tell her the truth. But that would be impossible.

It was Selina. He couldn't keep this from her.

"Selina, it wasn't a dream. It's real." Matthew said to her.

Selina's face turned white.

Her hands trembled as she asked, "How could this be?!"

Matthew didn't answer her, he simply hugged her tightly.

Selina muttered to herself before she finally said, "No! No, there's still hope! I'll find her a doctor. Yesseca is simply suffering from a physical illness I'll get her a doctor that will perform an operation on her Then she'll be all better."

Selina then tried to get out of the bed.

But Matthew kept holding on to her.

He then said, "Selina, it's not so simple this time. I had already brought a doctor to her. Unless we can get someone to donate a healthy, living heart, there's no way we can save Yesseca. It's practically impossible."

Matthew couldn't bring himself to say the last detail, but it was clearly understood.

Yesseca had no chance of surviving.

Selina's eyes were wide open, unmoving.

A while later, she burst out into tears.

Three days later.

Several doctors have been brought to examine her and they ran their tests.

The result always came back the same.

They needed to find her a matching heart.

Although the odds of finding one were incredibly slim, they had to try.

Preslie got Matthew to put out a general notice for anyone who would be willing to donate their heart. He included an incredibly huge cash reward.

Although life was precious, there

were still people who were willing to donate their hearts under the temptation of such huge amounts of money. Unfortunately, none of them were a match.

Even if their hearts were transplanted into Yesseca's body, it would be rejected.

Soon a whole week passed.

They still couldn't find anyone with a matching heart.

Yesseca's condition worsened. The intervals between the surges of pain she felt grew shorter. It got so bad that she had to take painkillers to ease the pain enough for her to sleep. Throughout this whole time, no one told her what her actual condition was and simply said that she was just having a minor health issue.
