Mommy,We Got a Husband

Chapter 201 Griffon Was Now Panicking

"Alaric?" Galatea softly called out to him, but Alaric was so deep in thought that he didn't hear her. So Galatea didn't say anything further.

Galatea mentioned that Griffon had long known she was Stellan. If he tampered with the DNA test results as well, then Griffon must know about the whole situation. Ravenna kept muttering...

It seemed like Alaric had figured something out. He shuddered in shock, startling Galatea, who quickly asked, "What's wrong, Alaric?"

"Nothing." Alaric was truly astonished by his thoughts and couldn't believe it.

Could Galatea's car accident be related to Griffon?

If so, how malicious must Griffon be, the uncle he called and treated as a father since childhood?

Just then, the director walked in, holding Galatea's examination reports. Alaric snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "How is my wife's recovery?"

The director replied respectfully, "Not bad. However, recovery is not a short-term process. She still needs to take it easy and maintain a good mood."

"Okay, thank you." Galatea took the director's reports and then asked Alaric, "Are you feeling better now?"

"Well," Alaric responded perfunctorily, then led Galatea out.

As they passed the inpatient department, Alaric couldn't help but glance in the direction of Ravenna's room. Griffon should still be there.

"Galatea, I'll have a driver take you back. I need to take care of something and will come find you later."

If Galatea's car accident was really related to Griffon, and if Griffon caught wind of his suspicions, it would be challenging to gather evidence after such a long period. If Griffon acted first, there might be no traces left at all.

"Where are you going?" Galatea asked hurriedly, seeing Alaric so anxious. "But I haven't finished talking to you."

Alaric said urgently, "I'll talk to you when I get back. Wait here; the driver will be here soon."

Before Galatea could say anything more, Alaric had already driven off. Galatea felt helpless; she hadn't even told him about her fallout with Marigold.

Galatea took a deep breath and checked the time on her phone. The day was almost over, and she was really nervous. What if Marigold remained stubborn?

Soon, the driver arrived to pick up Galatea. Ambrose had assigned bodyguards to her, who were in the shadows. Because Galatea had been in the hospital for so long, the bodyguards reported to Denny.

"Mr. Vale," Denny reported after Ambrose had taken a nap in the rest area, exhausted from working day and night.

"What is it?" Ambrose asked lazily.

"The bodyguards assigned to Ms. Storm reported that she spent a long time in the hospital today. I had them find out that Ms. Storm was there for a follow-up after a car accident."

Since Ambrose was particularly concerned about Stellan's matters, Denny felt it necessary to report this to him. As expected, Ambrose was shocked. "Stellan had a car accident?"

He had thought Stellan's near-death experience six years ago was harrowing enough, but now she had also been in a car accident?

Denny replied, "Yes, she was seriously injured at the time."

Ambrose's expression was a mix of pain and anger. He slammed his hand on the table and shouted, "Alaric is a jinx! Stellan had a near-death experience during childbirth, and now she had a car accident after being with him! Stellan. Why do you still stay with him?"

Ambrose blamed everything on Alaric, but he couldn't do anything to him. He felt a surge of anger building up inside, ready to explode.

"What about the perpetrator?" Ambrose asked Denny.

He needed to vent his anger, and if he couldn't do it on Alaric, he would do it on the perpetrator who hurt Stellan.

Denny answered, "The perpetrator has already been sentenced."

"Even if they've been sentenced, they shouldn't get off easy for hurting Stellan. Get me the perpetrator's information immediately."

Denny nodded. "Yes, Mr. Vale."

In such traffic accidents, the sentence wouldn't be too long. The perpetrator would serve a few years and be released, but the harm they caused Stellan was irreversible. Ambrose had to vent his anger!

Alaric drove quickly to the police department to re-investigate Galatea's accident case in detail.

"Is the surveillance footage from the time of the incident still available?" Alaric asked.

Someone answered, "Yes, it's all preserved."

"Show it to me again."

"Okay."

The surveillance video wasn't very clear, but it was enough to see the general situation.

The accident car made a sharp turn, blocked by another vehicle. Due to the high speed, the perpetrator, Jason Gray, swerved and hit the side railing before crashing straight into Galatea.

It was possible that Jason's initial target was Galatea, and he was just accidentally blocked by that car. This led to him hitting the railing first, which was why Galatea survived by a stroke of luck.

Unfortunately, Alaric initially thought it was just an accident and had been busy caring for Galatea in the hospital, never thoroughly investigating it.

So much time had passed, and the surveillance footage along the route was long gone. If he could trace the accident car's movements and confirm that Jason's car had been waiting for Galatea, everything would come to light. But it was too late now.

At least the perpetrator, Jason, was still in prison.

"Thank you." After that, Alaric went to prison. He had wanted to see Jason when Galatea first had the accident, and now, after all this time, he finally did.

Since Alaric and Galatea visited Ravenna, Griffon had been uneasy, especially hearing Ravenna muttering those few words.

Griffon questioned, "Cormac, how many times have I told you to stay away from Alaric, but you wouldn't listen? You even let Alaric visit your mom. Do you want to drive me and your mom to our graves?"

"Think what you want. We're in the hospital room; I don't want to argue," Cormac replied, not bothering to engage with Griffon.

Griffon was speechless with anger, and his anxiety grew. He instructed Orion, "Orion, watch your mom. No one but doctors and nurses are allowed near her."

After that, Griffon drove to the prison to check on Jason, only to be told that Alaric had already been there.

Griffon said anxiously, "What did you say? Alaric was here?"

"Yes, Mr. Alaric just left."

Griffon's heart sank. This was bad!
