Chapter 355
At first, Selena could match his stubbornness, firing back at him word for word. But eventually, the relentless pressure took its toll. Her breathing quickened, her heart raced, and waves of heat and odd sensations coursed through her, nearly overwhelming her. In the end, she was left with no choice but to murmur a plea for mercy, dazed and desperate.
He leaned in close, insisting once more, "Selena, tell me you're willing!"
Weakly nestled in the crook of his shoulder, Selena hesitated for just a second. But hesitation brought more punishment, tingling her scalp and almost forcing a scream from her throat. Finally, her voice, broken and fragile, emerged from her lips, "Willing... willing..." The next morning, Everett was gone, likely off to work.
Selena's entire body throbbed with soreness, particularly her waist and legs, leaving her feeling utterly drained. Her body bore telltale marks of their night, even in the most private areas-a shocking sight to behold.
Clenching her teeth, she sat up and noticed the glaring bruises on her knees, fueling her anger. That man was an absolute beast!
But she couldn't dwell on that now. Ignoring the discomfort, she reached over to open the nightstand drawer, only to find it empty.
The drawer that typically housed condoms and pills was completely cleared out.
Throwing on a coat, she stumbled over to her wardrobe, searching frantically. Sometimes she stockpiled supplies in there, but now it was spotless and empty.
In that moment, she realized Everett's true intentions.
He didn't genuinely want another child with her; he just knew how much kids meant to her, and having one would tie her to him once more.
A shiver ran down her spine at the thought.
Even though Everett couldn't let go of Margot, he clearly wasn't about to let Selena go either. He wanted his cake and to eat it too-one at home, another elsewhere!
Seething with anger, she trembled as she changed into clothes for going out.
With no pills at home, she had to get them herself, determined not to repeat past mistakes.
Heading downstairs, she marched straight to the door.
But as Ava had warned, the moment she stepped outside, two bodyguards appeared out of nowhere, blocking her path.
"Ma'am, you can't leave on your own," Bill said.
Selena, not in the mood for negotiation, snapped back, "And if I insist? Are you going to break my arms or my legs?"
Even if it meant broken limbs, she was determined to get out of there!
Nothing was more terrifying than the thought of having another child!
Bill looked awkward, "You jest, ma'am. We wouldn't dare."
Over the past year, he'd realized that the lady of the house was the master's treasure; they wouldn't dare harm a hair on her head. "Then move aside!"
Realizing they wouldn't touch her, Selena seized the moment to stride forward, her stance unyielding.
Bill, truly unable to physically stop her, could only back away, pleading, "Ma'am, whatever you need to do outside, perhaps you could wait for the master to return. He'd go with yott."
If Everett returned, she'd lose her chance entirely.
Thankfully, even if they alerted that conniving man now, by the time he got back, she'd have already taken care of things. Selena pressed on, undeterred.
Bill was at his wits' end, skilled in combat yet helpless against her determination.
As the mansion's grand gates slowly opened, Selena quickened her pace, only to catch sight of Everett's black Rolls Royce Cullinan pulling up.
Seated in the driver's seat, through
the windshield, his striking face was clouded with anger, his dark eyes chilling as they locked onto her.
