Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan)

Chapter 63

Nathan used his immense influence to swiftly shut down Isabella's social media accounts, blocking her in an instant.

But the next day, Isabella quickly opened a new account. This time, she didn't just expose the kidney donation report for Victoria, but also briefly outlined the backstory:

"When I was young and naive, I thought a man's promises were as unshakable as a rock. Little did I know, I lost my kidney, and the love was gone. No, to be honest, love never existed in the first place. I was too young to know better."

The post quickly garnered a lot of attention. The comment section filled with people's outrage.

"That man is so much older than the poster. Back then, she was young and hadn't been toughened by life, so she easily believed his empty promises. The man is despicable, taking her kidney and then running to his first love, treating his wife with emotional neglect. I'm sure he's been scheming against the poor poster from the start."

"Oh my god, this is just plain marriage fraud, isn't it?"

"Such a toxic man."

"Please, God, let me never meet a man like this."

"This man was just scamming her for the organ..."

...

When Nathan saw these comments, he was shocked, terrified, and enraged all at once. Isabella was like an indestructible cockroach, or an unquenchable weed. Was she really going to ruin his reputation like this?

Luckily, Isabella had yet to reveal his name. He still had a chance to fix things.

But Isabella wasted no time. She soon made another public announcement:

"If you continue hiding like a coward, I'll expose your real identity tomorrow."

While she didn't mention him by name, anyone who knew Nathan would understand that this was direct challenge.

Nathan knew that if he delayed any longer, everything he had worked so hard for would come crashing down. He thought, "Just get the divorce. If that's what Isabella wants, and what I secretly desire, then let it be."

But just as he was coming to terms with this, Alaric unexpectedly visited Nathan's home. He sat down on the sofa, angrily pointing his finger. "Nathan, your wife is out there ruining your reputation. Are you just going to let her have her way?" Nathan opened his mouth to speak but didn't know how to explain.

He couldn't tell Alaric that it was he who had pushed Isabella, the woman who had once loved him with all her heart, to this point.

Finally, he chose to deflect, saying, "She's just using these methods to force me into a divorce. Dad, I... I want a divorce."

Alaric was furious. "A divorce? When you took Isabella's kidney, I warned you. You'll never be able to repay her for what you owe her in this life. Now you want to divorce her? Are you trying to prove you're heartless and ungrateful?" Nathan said, "But if we don't divorce, Isabella won't stop. She'll keep revealing more of my secrets."

Alaric, beside himself with rage, grabbed the ashtray from the coffee table and threw it at Nathan. The ashtray hit Nathan's forehead, causing blood to spill.

Alaric, almost choking with anger, raged, "If I had known this would happen, I'd have stopped you from associating with Victoria a long time ago!"

Nathan, unable to wipe the blood from his face, bowed his head, accepting his reprimand.

"Father, I know I was wrong," he said.

Seeing his son's remorseful attitude, Alaric, though furious, couldn't stay angry forever. He softened and offered advice. "Women are easy to appease. If you help Isabella pay off her debts, she'll soften up and reconcile with you." "Then, you should hurry up and have a child with her. Once a woman has a child, she'll feel tied down, and she won't keep bringing up divorce."

Nathan nodded. "I understand."

Alaric, wanting to help Nathan through the crisis, lifted the financial sanctions he had imposed on him.

Nathan, relieved, immediately contacted Theo.

"Mr. Sanchez, I'd like to discuss the debt issue between my wife and you."

Theo was lounging at a bar in a club, surrounded by other arrogant young men, as they discussed life and ambition.

Theo responded promptly, "I'm at the bar. Come over now." He shared the location with Nathan.

Not long later, Nathan arrived.

When he entered, he saw Theo lounging on the couch, looking slightly tipsy, clearly having had a few drinks.

Beside him, Isabella was tenderly taking care of him, wiping the corner of his mouth with a tissue, and thoughtfully draping his coat over him to prevent him from catching a cold.

Her actions were incredibly natural, as if taking care of Theo was something she did regularly.

Nathan stood in the doorway for a while, but Isabella completely ignored him, acting as though he were invisible.

Nathan's face turned pale, and his body swayed as he stood.

His fists clenched immediately, his nails digging into his palms.

"Isabella, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice low and reproachful.

Isabella didn't respond, but one of Theo's friends spoke up, explaining, "Mr. Hill, didn't you know? Miss Moore is Theo's personal assistant. Taking care of Theo is just part of her job."

Nathan finally noticed that Isabella was different today.

Isabella was dressed in a white blouse and black trousers, the outfit accentuating her slender figure and giving her a polished, confident look. She appeared every bit the O competent professional.

Nathan was momentarily dazed-he had never seen this version of Isabella before. She looked radiant and full of poise.

He couldn't tear his eyes away from her.

Theo, noticing Nathan's distracted gaze, smirked, his eyes narrowed. "Hey, I don't accept installment payments."

Nathan snapped out of his trance.

Theo had bought *The City of

Cycles* for five billion, only to turn around and sell it to Isabella for

twice the price, with a penalty clause

that held her to extremely

unfavorable terms.

This was capitalism at its most ruthless.

"Mr. Sanchez, your ability to make money is faster than a printing press," Nathan said sarcastically. "Aren't you worried that you'll exhaust your luck and suffer later on?" Theo chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment, Nathan."

Nathan pressed, "I'll pay you ten billion. I want *The City of Cycles* back."

Theo replied coolly, "The City of Cycles already belongs to Miss Moore. Whether or not she sells it to Mr. Nathan is up to her."

Isabella, gazing at him coldly, said, "You know that *The City of Cycles* is mine. I advise you not to even think about it."

Nathan's handsome face darkened with fury. "Isabsince I'm paying, *The City of Cycles* should be mine."

Isabella stood tall and straightened her back, her voice tinged with disdain. "Nathan, forget it. I'm not going through with this deal."

Nathan, almost beside himself with anger, shouted, "Isabella, I've already paid off your huge debt. What's it to you to hand over that stupid lock to me?"

Isabella suddenly burst into bitter laught"

"You told me you'd cut ties with Victoria and send her abroad. Was that just to placate me?"

Nathan's expression faltered. His eyes flickered.

Isabella continued coldly, "Good thing I stopped believing you long ago."
