300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets

Chapter I AM FAE

Third person pov:

"She just had to kiss Ryder, unbelievable!" Fae screamed at the top of her voice as they climbed the stairs, her footsteps hitting hard against the floor with each step.

Hazel, who was fed up, kept her face neutral as she quietly sent a text to Bella. Bella, still lounging in bed with the triplets, didn't bother to check her phone.

"I have to do something to her!" Fae declared, storming into a room and flinging the door open, nearly hitting Sebastian in the face.

"Do I look like Bella? Or are you plotting to kill me, too?" Sebastian asked, catching the door with his hands just in time. "I'm a forced loyal minion, and even that doesn't seem enough," he scoffed as he pushed the door wider, walking into the room where Fae paced back and forth, unconcerned. "Did you even hear what I said?"

"Did you see what happened up there?" she snapped, her brows furrowed.

"What? Two mates kissing? Totally scandalous," he said sarcastically.

His comment amused Hazel, who let out a quick chuckle. The sound bruised Fae's ego, and she whirled on Hazel. "In your right mind, I wouldn't mess with you, so zip it!"

If only she knew, Hazel thought to herself, watching as Fae continued pacing the room.

The anger Fae felt toward Bella grew with every passing second, but she didn't know exactly what to do. On top of that, she was trying to stay out of trouble, mindful of her parents' constant warnings.

*Daddy might not be there to save you every time, baby,* her father's voice echoed in her head.

Hazel let out a loud yawn as she moved to sit on the bed. "It's late, and honestly, this is boring. We've been going in circles for a while now, so wake me up when you're ready to actually do something," she said before throwing herself onto the bed, further vexing Fae.

"I could kick you out of this group and leave you to die with your hatred for Bella! I call the shots here!" Fae shouted. Hazel yawned even louder, clearly unimpressed.

"Sebastian!" Fae screeched, her voice hitting a high pitch. "You better hold your little onetime fling or I'll-"

"Do nothing! You'll do nothing!" Hazel sat up abruptly, causing both Sebastian and Fae to stare at her as if they'd just seen a ghost.

For someone supposedly under a spell, Hazel was acting far too rational. Hearing Fae call her a one-night fling stung, and she briefly considered getting back at her, but she reminded herself to stay in character. To deflect suspicion, she quickly racked her brain for a convincing lie.

"You've done nothing about this situation for too long, and it's starting to bother me!" Hazel raised her voice, stepping closer to Fae. "Have you forgotten who you are? Before Bella, you ruled the entire school, but now, when I look at you, all I see is fear and cowardice. Bella is nothing compared to you, and the sooner you remember that, the better. You've had plenty of plans, but all you've done is scream and point fingers," she said, grabbing Fae's shoulder. "Be Fae again."

Her words seemed to strike a chord with Sebastian, who nodded thoughtfully.

"Even good people are secretly villains. Just make them puppets, and you'll see what they're capable of," he mused. Both Fae and Hazel shot him an incredulous look, their brows furrowed, before turning back to each other. "You're right. I am Fae, but I haven't been acting like it. I need to set things straight." Fae took Hazel's hand off her shoulder. "But I still haven't thought of the perfect way to do that," she admitted, and Hazel scoffed.

"You've got a cloning potion or whatever, so use it," Hazel suggested, but Fae scoffed in return, turning to face her. "That's a weak move, and Fae isn't weak." Hazel forced a smile, but as Fae held her gaze, she swallowed hard, wondering what she meant by that.

"I have to end her once and for all," Fae declared, slamming her right fist into her left palm, startling Hazel, while Sebastian watched her with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "I can't quite think of how yet, but it has to be something big. Something that screams Fae, but in silence. It needs to be slow and agonizing, leaving her begging for life."

Hazel's stomach churned in disgust. She's a complete psychopath, she thought, all because of a boy. Ryder had clearly dodged a bullet, she mused, struggling to maintain the forced smile on her face.

The room fell silent as they watched Fae, who seemed lost in her own twisted thoughts. Then, abruptly, she turned to Hazel.

"What's the next event on the school calendar? Something involving both teachers and students?" she asked.

Hazel hesitated for a moment, wondering if it was a trap, but answered anyway.

"The annual camping trip," she replied, still unsure what Fae planned to do with that information.

Fae resumed pacing the room, her mind racing, then she paused briefly.

"I've got it!" she exclaimed, causing Hazel's heart to race.

"You have?" Hazel asked, her smile faltering as fear crept in. Whatever Fae had in mind, it couldn't be good.

"Yes, and it's a foolproof plan to get rid of her. And when I say get rid of her, I mean..." she trailed off, drawing a finger across her throat and sticking her tongue out to the side.

"So, what is it?" Hazel pressed, dreading the answer.

Fae chuckled, walking over to the bed and sitting down. "I'd love to tell you, dear, but the walls have ears. Bella better watch her back because it looks like she'll be reuniting with her best friend Bonnie soon," she said, a sinister smile curling on her lips.
