Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence

Chapter 1528

It took him a moment to pull himself together, watching their target’s car skid along the winding mountain roads, darting through intersections like a snake.

The car veered off the road to get rid of Adrian and Sonia, tearing through a grassy field where there was no clear path.

But Sonia didn’t back down.

Her eyes were locked on the car.

The scenery grew more barren as she drove deeper into the wilderness.

Still, Sonia was unfazed.

Her mind was set on one thing-saving the kids trapped in that car.

She pressed on, maintaining the high-speed pursuit.

Even though Sonia pushed her car to its limits, she couldn’t close the gap.

The modified car ahead was still pulling away.

Sonia frowned, clearly frustrated, but she stayed right on the tail of the target, refusing to let it escape.

The car ahead tried a few slick moves, drifting hard into the turns, but Sonia wasn’t fazed.

She matched every move, keeping pace.

Sonia soon followed the car to a secluded warehouse.

The place was huge, littered with old shipping containers that created a maze.

It was a dead end.

The car ahead stopped, so Sonia did, too.

The warehouse area was eerily quiet, so Sonia kept her guard up.

She looked around and realized their backup was gone.

She turned to Adrian and said, “We lost our team.

Call the authorities now.

She kept her eyes on the stopped car.

Adrian swiftly pulled out his phone, but there was no signal.

His shared location with Holden had also been disconnected.

“I can’t get through.

They must be blocking the signal,” Adrian said, trying over and over to call.

He warned Sonia, “Don’t rush in.

This feels like a trap.

But Sonia wasn’t Listening.

She saw the two kids being dragged out of the car, unconscious, and all caution flew out the window.

She quickly got out of the car.

“Stop!” Adrian shouted, lunging to grab Sonia, but she was already out of reach.

As Adrian scrambled out of the car to chase after her, a gunshot echoed.

Sonia screamed and backed up, just in time to see a bullet hit the ground where she had just been standing, missing her by inches.

Sonia was fuming.

“What? They have guns, too? That’s illegal!”

At that moment, a harsh electrical buzzing sound suddenly rang out.

It was so ear-piercing that Sonia immediately covered her ears.

She squinted and saw the children being taken into the warehouse.

She shouted, “Stop!” She gritted her teeth and dashed forward, wanting to catch up with them.

But a burst of gunfire aimed in her direction stopped her in her tracks.
