The Unshackled Queen: Never Say Never

Chapter 1928

Ryleigh halted mid-sentence, suddenly glancing to the side.

Hannah’s hand gently landed on Ryleigh’s shoulder, her smile unwavering.

“Miss Hopkins, fancy meeting you here!”

A chill ran down Ryleigh’s spine, and she tried to bolt, but Hannah’s firm grip held her down.

“You… Let go of me!”

Chuckling, Hannah twisted her wrist slightly and asked, “Why should I? What’s the rush, Miss Hopkins? Are you in a hurry to enjoy New Zealand?”

Hannah’s tone remained calm, but to Ryleigh, it sounded like a hunter toying with its prey.

“Hannah, I… It’s none of your concern!”

“True, it’s not.

Hannah took out her phone, revealing surveillance footage from the parking garage.

“This man has been caught and is now at the station.

Interestingly, he mentioned that you instructed him to sabotage the vehicle.

Hannah’s grip tightened on Ryleigh’s shoulder before continuing, “I have no other intentions.

I simply want you to come with me and have a chat.

“Hannah! You…” Ryleigh’s voice rose, her face paling.

“I suggest you don’t draw attention.

If this escalates, both you and the Hopkins family could face dire consequences,” Hannah said, smiling faintly.

“Hannah!” Ryleigh clenched her teeth, her eyes burning with anger.

Still smiling, Hannah continued in a lowered voice, “We could go now, Miss Hopkins, or would you rather wait here for the authorities to escort you? The situation will only get worse then.

Ryleigh scanned the terminal and checked her phone’s clock.

Boarding time was fast approaching.

Standing up, Hannah said, “Stop looking around.

You have no options left.

The police are already outside.

You can either be arrested while trying to flee or come with me quietly and maintain some dignity.

Seeing Ryleigh’s hesitation, Hannah continued, “Of course, if you attempt to escape, your time is running out.

“I’ll come with you!” Ryleigh said through gritted teeth.

Standing up, she added, “Let’s not cause a scene.

Hannah nodded and gestured for Ryleigh to follow, saying, “Then let’s leave.

With that, she took the lead, and Ryleigh, her lips pressed tightly together, trailed behind with resentment flickering in her eyes.

Her anger, however, was still aimed squarely at Melina.

As they walked, Ryleigh muttered, “You know who put me up to this, don’t you?”

Hannah remained silent, prompting Ryleigh to continue, “It’s Melina, and she’s abroad now.

Catching me won’t solve anything.

You should be after her.

She’s the one who plotted against you and Bryson.

I was just a pawn.

When Hannah didn’t respond, Ryleigh grew agitated.

“Did you hear me? Are you only targeting me because you can’t get to Melina?”
