Chapter 105
Seeing that Suzy was quiet, Jordy had his own speculations in mind. "Did you get yourself a boyfriend?"
Suzy pursed her lips and nodded lightly.
"Where's he from? What does he do for a living?" Jordy asked with a frown.
Suzy's expression tightened slightly, and she said somewhat embarrassedly, "He's from River City. We've just met. Our relationship isn't confirmed yet."
Jordy's face darkened slightly. "So, without properly confirming your relationship with him, - you let him into your house? Did you move out of Green Garden because of him?"
Suzy did not know how else to explain the situation and merely nodded. "Yes."
Jordy took a deep breath, put his hands in his pockets, and looked at her solemnly. "Initially, with the Shaws by your side to care for you, I didn't try to probe much about your life. But now, you suddenly got yourself a boyfriend and didn't bother telling me!"
He knew that the marriage contract between Suzy and the Laine family was about to be terminated soon, so Jordy did not object to her having a boyfriend. It was just that Suzy had only come to River City a few years ago to live a normal life. She was not that well-versed with the world. He was afraid that she would be deceived in a relationship.
Suzy knew that she was the one in the wrong, so she lowered her tone. "I know what I'm doing, JK."
Jordy's face was somewhat insipid as he said, "Is it convenient for me to meet him?"
Suzy said, "When our relationship stabilizes, I'll bring him to see you instead."
Seeing that she seemed rather serious, Jordy softened his voice and said, "Fine, but take good care of yourself. Call me if you need anything, or give Olive a call."
Suzy smiled lightly. "Don't worry about it!"
"Then I won't be heading up now. You go on," said Jordy.
"See you, JK!" Suzy waved her hands. "Drive safe on your way back!."
"Mm."
Suzy walked into the building and let out a long sigh after entering the lobby on the first floor. She did not want to lie to Jordy, but he was not a big fan of the Laine family. Moreover, her current relationship with George was truly difficult to explain to anyone.
For the time being, she had no choice but to lie.
Suzy went upstairs and opened the door to enter. The lights in the living room were on, but George was nowhere to be seen.
There was a crack in the door of the study room, and there was light coming from the inside. The man must be doing something inside the study.
Suzy did not want to bother him, so she went to the kitchen to drink some water, then went back to the room to take a shower
After taking a shower, it was still early, so Suzy read a book on the balcony for a while. At about ten o'clock at night, she went to bed and turned off the lights to sleep.
After sleeping for some time, she felt that there was something in her mouth when she was in a daze.
Someone was kissing her.
The familiar breath made her instinctively part her lips in response, despite her consciousness still being hazy.
Suddenly, the man stopped and stuffed a round bead into her mouth. She took a bite, and the sweetness immediately spread between her lips and teeth.
Suzy asked in a daze, "Is this an attack?"
George asked, "What?"
Suzy suddenly woke up, her face turning red all of a sudden. The candy in her mouth was just ordinary candy. She was the one with the dirty mind.
This was all Olive's fault for instilling these dirty thoughts in her.
Fortunately, the lights in the room were dim, and the man did not notice her unusual reaction.
The man lowered his head and continued to kiss her. He tasted the candy in her mouth and said in a low voice, "I bought the candy when I went to the supermarket today. Is it sweet?"
"Mm," answered Suzy absent-mindedly. Then, she suddenly wondered, 'Did he actually go to the supermarket?'
TY
Suzy thought about the image of him visiting the supermarket and wanted to laugh. "What did you buy in the supermarket?"
Was there anything that George Laine needed to get for himself?
George kissed the corner of her lips, looked at her faintly, and shoved something into her hand. "Yesterday's was the last one. I shouldn't be letting you be the one who buys it all the
time."
Suzy held the small box in her hand, and her face slowly turned red. She whispered, "Actually, I don't mind if I'm the one who "
George said, "I don't think you'll need to buy any for the time being."
Suzy had a bad premonition about this. "How many did you buy?"
The man was calm as he muttered, "One whole box."
