The Forgotten Luna (Adessa)

Chapter 75

LADESSA.

"Open your eyes, butterfly. I want to see you. All of you, until you come." Kael's voice was heady, and it made me feel wanted.

My eyes were rolling as the heat in my body continued. I badly wanted to shut my eyes, but like a good girl, I kept them open, staring at the man who was the only light in my badly beaten life.

My mouth parted, and my lashes fluttered as my orgasm built up. Kael picked up his pace, his hand on my waist, gripping it tightly as he kept pounding into me. It didn't take long before I shuddered as my orgasm rippled through my whole body.

Kael didn't stop fucking me. All the while, we kept staring at each other, both panting and inhaling each other's air. A few more hard thrusts and a guttural growl ripped from his throat as he let out his release.

Inside me.

"Fuck! Fuck!" He groaned after a while when the realization hit him. He leaned his forehead against mine, and we both closed our eyes. "I'm sorry, baby. If I pull out, it can spill on your dress...." He mumbled, still panting.

After our little tryst, Kael cleaned me up, and I put on new underwear. I didn't make a big fuss about him releasing inside me. We were both at fault. There was no need to worry about it anymore.

What was done was done, and I enjoyed every bit of it.

And we had to get going.

The drive to the King's Palace went smoothly, and despite us not conversing for most of the ride, it was a comfortable silence with him holding my hand.

The party would start at seven in the evening, and we arrived ten minutes before, but we decided to wait until it had begun before walking inside. Kael said they rarely tell the public when the King will appear, but he knew it was never at the start of the party. The King also never stayed for a long time, so we needed to grab that small chance to meet him.

We waited until the entrance was devoid of people before taking our invitation and heading to our designated gate.

"Don't forget you are Savannah Gray tonight. The only time we would admit you are Adessa is when we are alone with the King." Kael reminded me, and I nodded my head.

I had been practicing introducing myself with this name and telling myself to turn my head whenever Savannah was mentioned.

"Are you sure Alpha Draco is not one of the attendees?" I asked him even though I had asked this beforehand.

"Rasmus had Kevin check the list, and he was not there," he replied the same thing. "So we only need to watch out for the authorities."

Kael told me that the Juridistic section, or the King's Court, usually does not involve the King with cases as trivial as mine. So he might have no idea of my crimes as Adessa. Hiding my identity was more for the authority and security surrounding this place, as they might grab me before the King could even set his eyes on me.

We were let in without any problem. They handed me a gold mask and Kael a black one with a reminder that the mask must stay on in the main ballroom, but in all other halls, such as the banquet hall where the food was, they could be removed.

I initially thought we could bring our own masks, but the invitation stated that masks would be provided for security purposes. They didn't want anyone hiding their whole face for security purposes.

I put on my mask as we began

walking inside. I couldn't keep my

area

mouth closed as I walked in awe through the corridor of this big castle. We were in the court or for events, and splendid was an understatement to describe this place.

This place was truly magnificent. I felt like I was reliving a fairy tale. The palace was overwhelming, with medieval structures blended with contemporary decor.

And as much as everything was new in my eyes, I never felt out of place. In fact, looking at the grandeur before me made me feel at ease.

Maybe I was a princess in my past life.

I chuckled at my own thoughts, but my daydreaming was cut short when Kevin, Rasmus' friend, met us, and he ushered us to the Casino Hall.

He discreetly informed us that the

King would make an appearance at the main bathroom in two hours. So, if we wanted to have a glimpse of him, we needed to move to the other hall before that. He told us the dance floor was the best place to see the King, as it was directly in front of the

dais where he would be sitting.

I had no idea how much Rasmus told Kevin that he was giving us this information, but whatever it was, I was grateful. It made it easier for us to position ourselves within the King's presence.

After Kevin left us, Kael scanned the casino room and chose a poker table where we would sit and play. I removed my mask, as everyone in this room didn't have theirs on.

"Have I taken you to casinos before?" he asked, guiding me toward our table after we had exchanged money for casino chips.

I shook my head as I sipped the white wine in my glass. "I didn't even know you played poker."

"I usually don't, but sometimes, just as a pastime. I used to go with Rasmus in some instances." He explained in a low voice before he pulled a chair for me. He took the glass in my hand and gave it to the server that passed by.

I had no idea how poker was played,

so I really had no clue if we were winning or not, but I could tell the people Kael was playing against were checking my expression. To bad for them, I totally had no idea what was going on. But I knew how easily some could read expressions, as Kael briefly explained, and I was glad to be clueless. I didn't want to be the reason he'd lose this, especially because he removed his own mask and put on sunglasses to cover his eyes.

We both promised to enjoy the night until it was time to face the King. And it looked like Kael was serious about winning and having fun.

Well, Kael had been winning and calling the shots while I kept watching the clock. We had 40 minutes left before the King's appearance, and we had to go there at least 15 minutes before that.

Our table was fun, and Kael, despite focusing on the game, would never forget to check on me and would rub my waist from time to time. I could also see him checking the area.

He asked me if I wanted us to go to other halls or eat, but I had no appetite. And sitting was the best option at the moment, as the ticking of the clock was slowly giving me anxiety. A few more minutes, and we needed to move.

I was having some conversation with the female next to us when I felt Kael's body stiffen.

"Fuck!" He mumbled under his breath.

My heart began thudding loudly as I followed his line of sight. And I almost fell on my chair when I saw where he was looking.

Alpha Draco, together with his Beta, was approaching our table. I held my breath as I watched him take the vacant seat exactly in front of us. It was only then that I regretted taking my mask off.
