The Cherished Wife (Noelle and Charles)

Chapter 726

"A wedding ring?" Janice stared at Charles in astonishment, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Oh my god, Mr. Hoffman, you must be joking. Are you really getting married?"

The news of Charles wanting to get married was not just surprising to Janice; it would be unbelievable to anyone.

Who could ever imagine that Charles Hoffman, of all people, was planning a wedding?

Charles raised an eyebrow slightly, his expression calm as he looked at Janice. He nodded. "Yes, I'm getting married. Is that so hard for you to believe?"

He chuckled softly and continued, "Do you have any recommendations?"

Janice was still in shock. "I certainly have recommendations. Every piece of jewelry here is one-of-a-kind. No one else will ever have the same piece.

"But Mr. Hoffman, I'm finding it hard to imagine you getting married. Could it be that the person is..." She hesitated, then her eyes widened as a thought struck her. "It wouldn't be that actress from the recent rumors, would it?" However, that did not seem right either. That actress was supposedly already married. Could the rumors be true? Had she divorced?

Janice looked at Charles again, only to see him smirk, his eyes carrying a trace of coldness. "What do you think?"

Unable to discern Charles' true feelings, Janice noted that he did not seem particularly keen on defending the actress. She relaxed a bit and took a deep breath.

"Well, that's your business, Mr. Hoffman, and I won't pry. But what kind of ring do you have in mind? What does your future wife prefer?"

"Something simple and understated," Charles replied. That single sentence was enough for Janice to understand that Mrs. Hoffman was likely a very low-key woman, completely different from that actress. She nodded. "This way, Mr. Hoffman."

Janice led him to a display. "These are my designs from the past few years. They're all very simple and understated. Many may seem ordinary at first glance. I named this collection 'Demure', inspired by a moment of enlightenment had

during a visit to a church a few years

ago. What do you think of these

pieces, Mr. Hoffman?"

She put on her gloves and carefully took the rings out of the display case. "This set has been in my collection for three years, but it has never found the right owner."

Janice handed the pieces to Charles, who put on his gloves and examined the ring, along with the matching necklace and bracelet.

Charles squinted slightly. There was a faint smile playing on his lips. "I never imagined that the famous Janice would have pieces that she couldn't sell."

Janice was taken aback for a moment, then laughed. "Mr. Hoffman, you've misunderstood. Though I am a businesswoman, I only sell jewelry if people manage to connect with them. It's not that they can't be sold." As she began to show him another piece, Charles raised his hand to stop her. "I'll take this set."

Janice's eyes lit up. "Does it suit your wife?"

Charles nodded. "Well, she's a rather quiet woman," he said with a gentle smile. "I won't take it with me today, though. As for the men's ring, I'll need you to create one that matches this design. Also, I need something engraved inside. Is that a problem?"

Janice was momentarily stunned but then quickly shook her head. "No problem at all!" Selling the jewelry was, of course, her goal. It was. especially since this set had been waiting for a long time to find its owner.

Selling it to Charles Hoffman seemed like the perfect outcome, especially given that he spoke so highly of Mrs. Hoffman. She had to be an extraordinary woman. "So, what would you like engraved, Mr. Hoffman?"
