Chapter 1504
Inside, anyone could tell he was livid.
With no choice left, Felicity, nursing a swollen ankle, hobbled to the door as fast as she could.
The moment the door swung open, Miles stormed in!
His demeanor was unmistakable - like a husband catching a cheater in the act.
Felicity had never seen him this frantic before.
But upon entering the room, the aroma of spicy crawfish filled the air...
Calvin appeared hurriedly, donning a T-shirt, "What brings you here?"
Miles glanced at him, then at Felicity, who was decently dressed.
Clearly, whatever he had imagined was happening inside wasn't the case.
"Langston?" Felicity, noticing his displeased expression, called out tentatively.
Calvin, ever the enthusiastic one, pointed to the spicy crawfish on the table, "Perfect timing, I ordered a ton. Wanna join us?"
"Felicity, I need to talk to you."
Feeling awkward, his only thought was to take her away from there.
"What's it about?"
She clearly wasn't keen on leaving with him just yet.
Thankfully, while Miles might be slow on the uptake with emotional matters, he was quick-witted otherwise.
With a serious look, he said sternly, "It's about Abigail."
At the mention of her, Felicity immediately responded, "Then let's hurry! That Craig, is he bullying her again? Let's go, I'll give him a piece of my mind!"
In her eagerness, she winced as her foot touched the ground, her resolve to confront anyone momentarily forgotten.
Miles, unable to stand it, scooped her up in his arms.
Being carried princess-style in front of Calvin, Felicity felt a bit embarrassed.
"I've got some stuff to handle, gotta go! You enjoy the crawfish!" she yelled to Calvin, but before she could finish, Miles was already carrying her out of the room. Once in the elevator, she patted his shoulder, "Langston, you don't have to carry me all the way, I can walk, just a bit slowly."
"Let's get to the car first."
"Oh."
Felicity realized the matter with Abigail must be urgent, or else
dn't have rushed over to find
her
As he opened the car door and gently placed her in the passenger seat, then walked around to the driver's side, Felicity, watching him start the car and roll up his sleeves, grumbled, "Are we heading to the highway entrance again?"
"Nope."
"A different place? Where then?"
"My place."

"Your place? What for?"
"What you and Calvin can do together, I can do with you."
That statement...
Felicity smacked her lips, tasting a hint of jealousy.
"Langston, are... are you jealous?"
Miles drove off, his handsome face etched with a resigned calm.
"Yes, I'm jealous. Isn't it obvious?"
"Calvin likes you!"
And there they were, together in a hotel room!
Who wouldn't be bothered?
Felicity raised an eyebrow, tilting her head, "I know, he told me straight up."
"Then you still-"
"I'm single. Is it illegal to eat crawfish with him?"
If Abigail's gift of gab was five-star, Felicity's was off the charts.
Miles couldn't just keep up; he found it hard to get a word in.
As the car indeed headed to his house, Felicity couldn't play dumb any longer.
"Langston, you're learning bad habits! Why the deception?"
