Chapter 192 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
Cindy POV
I needed to get out of here. I've tried to stay out of sight since leaving that room, so I could think about what to do next, but time was getting more urgent.
The scent masker was beginning to fade. This was the last place I wanted to be when the rogue stench started to pour out of me. Most of this pack already looked at me like I was a bug, but I was a useful bug before. Now, I was worthless. That snake bastard made it abundantly clear.
My wolf was snarling, already feeling lost and alone. We were rogue before at Broom StiXXX, but not like this. There, we had a community. A family.
Now I have nothing.
I wanted to blame Chloe. Goddess knows I do, but I know I have no one to blame but myself right now. Why did I think I could trust these people? I can't trust anyone.
Not anymore.
With a twisting gut, I covertly moved through the halls, trying to avoid the crowded room of the bunker as I moved towards the entrance. I was almost there when a deep, raspy voice startled at me from the shadows. "Escaping, are we?"
The man who was beaten in the room with the Alpha and Mr. Smith was sitting in a chair in the darkness, his sharp eyes watching me. He was healed from his injuries now, and I could feel the authority in him as a ranked wolf now. Being rogue had me shivering, and my head tilted involuntarily to expose my neck.
"Your rogue rot is repulsing," his voice deepened in disgust. "I could smell you across the room."
Fear made my hair stand on end. If he could smell that I was a rogue, then he knew....
"I knew he couldn't do it," he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "I knew he wasn't an Alpha anymore."
"Wh-what do you... He's our Alpha," I tried to lie.
He laughed darkly. "No," he shook his head, sitting up straight again. "He's not your Alpha. You have no Alpha anymore, do you, kid?" He laughed again, sounding a little crazed. "He was my Alpha, but he is no one's Alpha now. Just the bastard who doomed us all because he couldn't get over some treacherous pussy."
"Treacherous?" I mumbled. "I... I thought...." Didn't that Alpha cheat on her first? While she was in a coma?
The man stood up from his chair, making it scrape loudly against the concrete floor. He was tall and big, casting a shadow over me as he drew near.
"Whatever you thought doesn't matter. You brought that bitch here. Alpha Cameron is insane enough without that woman by his side. If you know what's good for you, you will take her and get both of your asses back to-"
"Back to where?"
I snapped my head around at the gravely, menacing voice of the insane Alpha in question. He was coming from the hall, his body enormous and tense. His anger thickened the air, making it hard to breathe. His looming glare was fixed on the retreating ranked warrior beside me. "A-Alpha. I... I didn't mean-"
"You didn't mean what?" Alpha Cameron stalked the man, moving right past me. "Tell me, Jackson. What did you not mean when you were telling this freak show to take your Luna and-"
"She's not our Luna," Jackson interrupted, sounding desperate. His tone was coaxing, like he was trying to get his Alpha to see reason. "She left you, and she will do it again! Can't you fucking see that she's ruining all of us?!" Alpha Cameron let out a deep sound, like a growl but more guttural.
"That thing you're helping has her! We're as disposable as this guy," Jackson waved his hand at me. "She tells him to get rid of us, I think that snake freak will do it. We need to get out of here! All of us! She-... guh-ack, ahh-"
His words were cut short as the Alpha's hand shot out and tightened around Jackson's neck. Alpha Cameron lifted Jackson in the air, snarling deeply in his every breath.
He may not have a wolf, but he had some kind of monster living within him.
"Chloe. Is. Mine," his eyes raged and darkened more and more with every syllable. "No one is taking her anywhere."
I held in my cries, watching the Alpha's other hand shoot forward and tear right through Jackson's chest. The growls and snarling, along with the yelling, had drawn the other warriors out to see what the commotion was about. Many of them gasped and made sickened noises of their own at seeing their Alpha tear Jackson's heart right out of his chest.
I had to get out of here. It was fight or flight, and I knew I was no match for anyone here.
Before the Alpha released Jackson's lifeless body, I ran for the door, reaching it just as Alpha Cameron tossed Jackson across the room like he weighed nothing. His warriors jumped back, gaping at their pack member's death. Many of them were wincing and grabbing their heads, which told me that Jackson's presence was out of the mind link for good, and they were feeling that pain.
I didn't feel the pain of a lost ranked pack member, and neither did Alpha Cameron.
Alpha Cameron turned his raging eyes towards me, and I knew I was next. I ripped open the door, then bolted outside, shifting to my wolf as I sprinted up the stairs.
I felt him. He was on my tail chasing after me. I heard the howls and snarls of other werewolves joining him in the hunt.
After clearing the stairs, my wolf chanced a look back, and true fear shot through us both like a frigid arrow, piercing us from the inside. He wasn't a werewolf, no, but he was a beast. A humanoid monster, with beast-like features, but not any animal I had ever seen.
His skin had turned black, and his body grew to twice its original size. His snout was dripping in a steaming drool. His ears were rigid and long, but too pointed to be a wolf's. His body was almost hairless, with patches of wiry fur in random places. And he was fast. I would never be able to outrun him.
My wolf tried his best, barreling for the road that led back to the hotel. I was losing hope as the thunderous pounding of the earth and fierce howls felt like they were only a few feet behind me, but then a different set of howls came from somewhere ahead. Familiar howls.
Even without the pack mind, I knew it was Setting Sun Pack. I knew the twin Alphas had come to save their mate.

Mick POV
"To the north!" I snapped at the warriors running with me.
Rodger ducked down low on my back, gripping Rome's fur tightly so as to not fall off. I could feel the zapping powers in his palms every time they brushed against me. He was ready to use his magic. He heard it too.
Rome felt the hammering of paws right before we heard the sounds of warrior wolves on a hunt. We knew it wasn't our men, so that left only one other option.
"We found something, brother," I called to Miles. "Northwest from the field. There's a huge hunting party moving towards us."
"Is Chloe who they're hunting?!" Miles asked desperately. I could feel Ivar turning around, pulling on our connection to pinpoint my location.
"I don't know yet. We're closing in. It's...." My voice trailed off when an average-sized sandy wolf came into view up ahead. I knew that wolf. "It's Cindy," I said darkly.
"Cindy? It's just Cindy?"
Rome snarled, his eyes on the one that betrayed us, but then his vision went past Cindy's wolf to what was chasing him.
"What the fuck is that?!" one of my warriors asked. Others were murmuring similar, fear-stricken questions.
I didn't know what the thing was that was leading the hunt for Cindy. It wasn't natural. I have never seen anything so grotesque. It was like a mutant bear that had gone fishing in nuclear acid or something. It had a diet of radioactive salmon and slimy creatures. It was horrifying. What the fuck did Cindy do now?
The wolves following behind it looked like warriors. Rome let out a low growl, realizing he knew many of them.
They were warriors from Fire Moon Pack.
ལ་
"WELL?! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" Miles snapped at me.
"It's Fire Moon," I rasped, feeling Rome's dread. "It's Chloe's ex-pack. There's something freaky going on." How did I explain that monster to him?
I didn't have time to explain. Cindy saw us, running right in our direction. That caused the monster to look our way.
"That's him!" Rodger yelled against the racing wind. "That's Cameron! It has to be!"
Cameron? Chloe's ex? How did he get to be like that?
"You have me," Rome said. "You have me, and he lost his fated mate."
"So?"
Rome curled his lip, and I felt the direction of his thoughts before he said anything.
"If I was there, I would be going feral, like the red Alpha did. I would have taken over and gone insane. I'm not there though."
I finished his thought before he could. "So his human side was what turned feral."
Chloe's magic wasn't the first thing to sever her ex's bond from his wolf. Rome disconnected from him long before that, when Cameron was cheating on her while she was in a coma. His wolf broke away from him bit by bit every time he was unfaithful, because Rome could never betray his mate.
Cameron's greed and monstrous actions turned him into a literal monster. Chloe saved Rome, but there was no saving this beast.
His black, empty eyes met Rome's, and I saw the recognition flint over his ugly face. Cindy may have been his original target, but now he was coming for me. The Alpha that stole his mate and his wolf.
Cameron POV
Rome. That damn defecting mutt. He was right there. Not a football field away. I may not have the abilities of a werewolf, but in this body, I was just as strong, if not stronger. I could make Rome pay for his betrayal.
The one that had Rome was the one that shot that video with my mate. He had his nasty mouth all over Chloe's luscious body. It was torturous watching him suck her pierced nipples after I hadn't tasted them in so long. His hands touched her body for everyone in the world to see. He was taunting me. He was trying to torture me, exposing her like he did. He wanted me to know that he had my woman. My mate. My Luna. He took her, and he took my wolf.
He took so much from me. Chloe was back at my side. If I couldn't take back my wolf, then I would do the only thing left. The only fair solution.
I would put him under. If I couldn't have my wolf, that porn star bastard didn't deserve him either.
My mate abandoned me with this bastard. This wolf-stealing bastard. I watched that video over and over again, memorizing every movement, every reaction she had to him.
She never looked at me the way she looked at him.
That will change today.
"KILL THEM ALL!" I commanded, changing direction to aim for the traitor.
Rome would die by my hands. I would eradicate him. He was never loyal, and it was time he paid for that.
I was just a few yards away, my powerful, monstrous body ready to tear Rome to shreds when someone shot out of nowhere on my right and plowed right into me. Whoever it was knocked my towering body to the ground, making me scream in agony as its jaws closed on my ankle. A large, dark gray wolf had its jaw clamped around my hamstring, jerking his head from side to side. I felt the tendons straining under the thick, armored muscles. I couldn't heal myself. He was going to break my leg.
With my powerful kick, I launched the giant gray wolf off me. He hit a tree, but dropped to the ground and landed back on his paws. He was right next to Rome, the two eyeing me like they were going to attack me together.
Another large group of Setting Sun warriors joined the chaos of the battle. We were largely outnumbered. I hadn't ordered a full hunt when I thought we were just chasing one girly-boy scamp. This was more than we could handle with our current numbers.
I wanted to destroy Rome. I wanted to kill the one that caused my mate to reject me. I wanted to end this all for good and erase the mate marks on Chloe's neck.
It would have to wait. I needed more numbers. Without the ability to heal, I knew I couldn't win this battle.
I needed Mr. Smith's dark magic. With him, no one would be able to take any more from me. I would become invincible.
My arms struck out and caught a warrior wolf of the traitor's new pack racing by. I twisted its body in the air until I heard a snap, then tossed the wolf at the dark gray wolf and Rome, causing them to stop their pursuit as they anticipated the collision. I raced off as their warrior stuck the dark gray one's back.
The warrior shifted back into a man, twisted and broken like his spine had snapped. Their attention was momentarily on the crying man, and I used that opportunity to sprint away, running for the thick forest to hide in the shadows.
I will get justice soon.
