The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate

Chapter 190 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

Mick POV

"This is where you saw him go?" I asked as we got out of the car in an open field about a hundred yards from the old hotel.

Driana took a long drag from her cigarette, leaning out of the car window. "That's what I said."

"There's not a damn thing here," Miles curled his lip. His hair was disheveled, and his eyes looked mad. I probably looked the same. We've been fucking insane since Chloe was taken.

I took a deep inhale of the air, Rome pushing through to the surface, desperately searching for a sign of our mate.

Nothing. There was nothing. Not the faintest hint of sage or any scent of our pack.

"The tires cut off here," Miles pointed at the flattened area on the grass.

Rodger and Kai had just gotten out of their car and were coming up to the place Miles was pointing to. Rodger gasped and stopped short after stepping over the tracks to the undisturbed patch of grass beside it, where the track should have continued. His body shivered, and his head fell back.

Kai stopped short beside him, his nose flaring and his tails emerged from his pants, swishing angrily in the air. "Dark magic," he exchanged an anxious glance with Rodger. "It's everywhere."

"It's masking something," Rodger confirmed.

"We searched the entire perimeter of the hotel," my brother said. "Multiple times."

"But we didn't," Rodger pointed at Kai and himself. "You have to have magic to detect it."

"So how do we find our mate?!" Rome snarled through me. Fur was lifting through my skin, the desire to hunt coursing through me.

"Simple," Driana said, she and her sister slamming the doors of their car. "You have four of us, four magic users now. Four teams, four searches. We spread out until we don't feel the dark magic anymore. That's how we map out the glamor."

Paulina clicked her tongue, staring at Rodger. He nodded, and looked at us.

"Call your warriors here. We're going to need all the manpower we can get."

That's what we did. Billy and Darren arranged for every warrior available to report to the field behind the hotel. It was like we were gearing up for battle, formations of our warrior wolves moving out to begin their hunt. Miles and I split, Rodger going with me as Driana went with him. Kai took Lenny and Jamie with their group, and Paulina went with Billy and Darren, Alexi going along to help. Beau stayed back in the pack with Dez, trying to get any more information about Mr. Smith and where he might be from the remaining wolves from Redmond Moon Pack. Riley and Dave were with my pops back at the pack, doing what they could to recover any evidence in Cindy's room and in the cottage Driana and Paulina lived in. Even Boyd and Estel were helping to watch over Winnie, who I heard was hysterical with denial that Cindy did this. Everyone was all in with helping, all for the sake of our mate. If we didn't find her soon, I didn't know what Miles and I would do. I felt the feral rage pushing forward, and knew I would snap if my connection with her withered.

We had to find her. I would kill anyone that stood in my way.

Rodger rode on Rome's back, gripping tightly as Rome ran through the fields and woods with several dozen of my warriors following closely behind. Rodger would call out and direct me when he felt the influence of dark magic vanish, and we ran along the border, mapping out the large area under the glamor. The other groups were doing the same.

After a couple of hours, Miles and I met somewhere in the middle of the back border of dark magic. We had found the entire perimeter of that evil bastard's influence.

"Now we grid it out," Miles said to me. "We will search every square inch of this place until we find her."

"Easier said than done," I huffed, mentally going over how much land we covered. "Did you pick up any scents?"

"None," Miles said stiffly.

Just then, we both gritted our teeth as our wolves hissed and snarled because of the strain of a pack member abandoning the pack. Someone was forsaking us, and it didn't take a genius to guess who. "Coward!" Rome snarled.

Cindy was a fucking coward. I don't understand why he is doing this, but there was no coming back from this level of betrayal.

"What?" Rodger tapped the side of my face. "What happened? Is it Chloe?" The panic was etched deep in his voice.

Rome shook his head, and I felt Rodger visibly relax on Rome's back. If Rodger knew it was Cindy, betraying us further by turning his back on our pack for good, I wonder if he would still feel as relieved. All I feel is violent rage.

Chloe POV

"Mother fucker," I growled, trying and failing to open the door to the new room I was taken to.

Mr. Smith, that three-piece asshole, had me completely locked in here. There were no damn windows or even a crack under the door to peek through.

I circled the space again, avoiding the giant bed with velvet purple blankets over the top of it. The room was tacky as hell. It looked like a gaudy, Mardi Gras-themed hotel room you could rent out by the hour. The furniture looked custom-made, and expensive, but the decorations looked cheap and mass produced.

To make matters worse, I was getting a killer headache. I knew it was the effect of the wolfsbane burning out of my system, but knowing didn't stop the pain with the withdrawing poison. There was also a fire heating the pit of my stomach, like something inside of me was about to burst.

My magic was coming back. I knew that was it. That was why I kept trying the door, thinking the straining effort would force it to break free. It hasn't yet. I just feel the warm sensations of it filtering through my blood, but dying out before it could do me any good. "What did that fucker put in me?" I groaned, rubbing the itching spot on my neck where Cindy injected me.

My eyes burned with unshed angry tears as my hand glided over my mate marks. Mick and Miles have to know that I'm missing by now. I wonder what's going on in the pack. I hope everyone is safe.

I swear to the fucking goddess and all that is holy, if they hurt my mates or my pack, I will use this fire burning inside of me to burn this entire place to the ground. All of it and everyone.

Well... Maybe not everyone. Jaeger said he didn't have a choice, and I'm sure he's not the only one who was forced to be here right now. Cameron and his father never gave their pack member's choices. Obviously, because of why I'm here. Why my mother was killed. Why I hated Cameron in the first place, despite him being my original fated mate.

"Ch-Chloe-" I could feel Cortina trying to push past the prison of the wolfsbane, keeping her from joining my mind. My head throbbed with every flicker I got of her.

If she could just break through. Just one last push, and maybe I could mind link someone and figure out what to do.

A steady set of knocks on the door made me gasp and spin around quickly, putting my back to the wall before whoever it was came in. I lifted an ugly candle holder from a table, holding it as a weapon in front of me as the door swung out. It was all I could do without my magic and without my wolf.

Mr. Smith walked in, looking amused with his hands lifted in the air. He eyed the candle holder in my hands with merriment, his dark eyes dancing as his cane waved disapprovingly in his hands. The door shut loudly behind him, clicking the lock in place. I was trapped in a room with this asshole again.

"Oh, my dear. You could hurt yourself. I do wish you would put that down."

"Fuck you, asshole. I will put it down when you let me go."

He sighed, then walked to the other end of the room to sit on the bed, looking the picture of relaxed and at ease. Even with the threat of my violence with a blunt object.

"Wield your candelabra then, Chloe, my dear. If it makes you feel secure for now, so be it."

"Feel secure," I scoffed. "I felt super fucking secure waking up shackled to a wall with my psychotic ex breathing down my neck and fondling my tits."

Mr. Smith scoffed, shaking his head fondly. The look in his eyes threw me off. He looked so fondly at me. It was creepy.

"You smile too much, you sick fuck."

"Ah," she chuckled softly. "I did miss your way of speaking to me. I should have recognized you sooner, my dear. Though, I guess there were not many conversations we had in our online interactions before."

"What the hell are you spewing bullshit about now?" I scoffed. "Recognized me from where? My videos?"

"Oh, no." He waved his cane dismissively in the air. "I knew you far before that, my lovely one. Centuries, no, millennia ago. Our lives were so incredibly intertwined once. So much so, that no one on Earth could ever take your place once you were gone." "Eww," I curled my lip in disgust. "You're crazier than I thought you were."

"Perhaps," he laughed darkly. "But after so long of searching for your missing piece, your purpose in life, you might be driven mad too."

I still had no idea what this asshole was talking about. It was becoming increasingly hard to think. The headaches were getting worse and worse. Cortina was almost free. I could feel it, but I was trying not to give anything away. I tried to keep my mask of anger firmly in place, not wanting to get another shot of whatever nasty cocktail he had Cindy give me earlier.

He continued talking, not looking for any input from me. "When you left me before we could accomplish what we had been put on this earth to do, I went into a deep depression, my dear. Forgive me for the necessary....precautions I take to ensure your safety with me." "Fucking psycho," I muttered under my breath, reaching back involuntarily to scratch the injection site again as Cortina almost made a breakthrough. Fuck this was painful.

Mr. Smith watched my movements, tilting his head to the side. I thought I had been caught with my wolf breaking through when I saw the concern on his face.

"I'm sorry for that as well."

"Huh?" I was confused for a moment.

He pointed his cane at my neck. "My venom, Chloé, my lovely. It always had a nullifying effect on your body. I had no other way to contain your powers."

When he said my name, he spoke it with such a weird accent it brought me up short for a second. Then, I registered what he had just told me.

"Your venom?!" I felt horrified all of a sudden. "As in.... Like, from your fucking mouth?"

This fucker really was a snake.

"From the glands in my mouth, yes," he looked amused at my horror.

I was disgusted. I wasn't sure if it was because that shit was injected into me, or because he was confirming what I already suspected.

Who was this man? Really?

"Who the hell are you?" I asked in a hushed, cold whisper.

His lips curled up, that fond look returning to his eyes. "You had many a name for me once, but the name I was called above all was Asmodeus. Though, I haven't been called by that name in centuries." "Asmodeus," I repeated, testing the name, and getting a cold feeling in my veins just from uttering each of the syllables.

His smile grew, and I shrunk back more, gripping the candle holder tightly as he slowly stood from the bed.
