The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate

Chapter 173 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

This poor girl. I mean, she's older than me, but I still feel so sorry for her. The agony of having a mate treat you with such hostility is something I know well. At least Boyd is having his choice taken from him right now. I can't imagine he would be acting like such an ass otherwise. I've seen the way he looks at her from afar. It's not the same as the hostility he shows when she is close. It's like longing, more so than I know he has ever looked at me.

Right when I thought Estel was going to break down, and Lenny or I would have to carry her back to the pack house, a determined look came over her face. "I'm searching for him."

I stopped short. "Estel. No. We don't know what happened to him. What if that asshole has him again? Or his bitch of an ex-mate and her Alpha?" Her face turned fierce. "Then we kill them."

"It's not that easy," I hissed, looking back at Lenny. Lenny had that disapproving face in place, and I could picture him throwing me over his shoulder like he did before if I tried to run off to help Estel find Boyd. He would, and I wouldn't stop him because I'm not fighting my mates about this.

Estel stopped, turning to growl right in Lenny's face. "You. Mind link those fucking Alphas and tell them their Luna isn't hiding away this time. We're joining the search too."

He narrowed his eyes on her. "I don't think that's a good idea. And I'm sure you already know what they will say."

"This is fucking bull shit. She's the strongest fighter here."

"I beg to differ," he said gruffly, trying to coral us with his arms to continue walking.

Estel wasn't having it.

"Aside from you and maybe them, you know that it's true. Plus, she has the whole witchy thing."

Lenny pushed her reluctant body along. "No."

"Come on, Estel," I pulled at her arm. "I'll mind them when we get back to the room. Give them a minute to assess the situation before we go stressing them out more."

She growled, stomping her foot, but grabbed my hand and practically ran with me all the way to the top floor where the Alpha suite was. "You mind lin the second we're there. We're not hiding away. We're looking for him." "Jeez. Where's the fire?" Cortina grumbled.

"She's scared for her mate. You would be the same way," I reminded her.

Cortina was about to spit out some smartass retort, but all of a sudden, my entire body went hot and at the same time, a chill traveled down my spine. As we stepped through the doors to our bedroom, it got so much worse. Lenny moved to lock down the room, but I stopped him, putting my hand over his.

"Wait," I said cautiously, my eyes traveling around the dark room in search of the threat I was feeling.

Estel and Lenny caught on to my change in alertness.

"What is it?" Estel asked.

Lenny started to examine the room too, his eyes glowing as his beast pushed forward.

"I don't know," I whispered to Estel. "Something feels off."

"Probably because it's creepy as hell in here with the lights off and the curtains drawn," she scoffed, going to turn them on.

The blackout curtains were drawn. They were wide open when Mick, Miles and I left this morning. The omegas never close them during the day. Why are they closed now?

Right as the lights flickered on, a figure swiftly moved from the corner that was once shrouded in darkness and shadow, taking Lenny by surprise as he plunged a syringe in his neck.

Boyd. His eyes were wild, taken over by his beast, but it was definitely Boyd.

Lenny knelt on the ground, clutching his neck. He tried to stand back up, but the more he strained, the more the black veins from the wolfsbane he was surly poisoned with spread, and soon he collapsed on the ground.

"GET HERE NOW!" I demanded my mates, but also pushing the command to everyone nearby. All the warriors closest to us would be here in seconds, and I doubt it would take my mates much longer. Not with the panic coursing through me. "OUR ROOM! HE"S HERE! HE TOOK OUT LENNY."

His crazed eyes were blackened, focused on Estel. He pulled another syringe from his back pocket. He was going to try and do the same to her.

Judging by the blackness spreading on Lenny's skin, I know he injected more than the lethal limit. Lenny might not last much longer without medical attention. Estel was half his size. It would kill her instantly.

Fear overtook me, not wanting either of them to die.

If Boyd killed his mate, his second-chance from the goddess, he would never forgive himself. When he came out of whatever spell this was, he would want to die. No one could survive killing their own mate.

I couldn't let him. I wouldn't let him hurt her.

The heat from before overtook my body. I could feel the magic moving in me, flowing through my blood. I could taste it in the back of my throat, and the power that it was capable of.

Raising my hands, right as he was about to lunge out and attack a frozen in shock Estel, I blasted him with this surge of electric energy. My magic was like an extension of me, wrapping around his body and binding him in place. "ESTEL! MOVE!" I yelled above the roaring of my powers.

Boyd was snarling like a ferocious beast, his body shaking and shivering, like he was trying to shift. If he shifted so close to Estel, she could get hurt.

There was a darkness in him. It was seeping out and trying to undo my purple currents of magic wrapped around his body. It was fighting me, and with every pull on my electrical ropes, Boyd got closer and closer to escaping.

I didn't want to hurt him, but he was about to leave me no choice. Estel still hadn't moved. She was just standing three feet in from of him, tears streaming down her pain-stricken face. "ESTEL! HE'S TRYING TO SHIFT! YOU HAVE TO MOVE!"

"Why?" Her voice sounded so broken, coming out in a raspy plea. "You're my mate. Why?" She took a step forward. "WHY!?"

His snout was almost formed on his face. His body was pressing into my magic, the black cords of darkness helping him to get inch by inch closer to having enough space to shift.

His black eyes were shifting between murderous glares and snarls at Estel, to an almost longing took towards me. He was on a mission, and Estel was standing between him and his goal.

She took another step forward, and I screamed, putting everything I had into holding Boyd in place. I was hurting him now. The clothes on his body were being singed away and red welts were appearing on his bare skin. He didn't let up. Not a single bit. He just fought harder to get free.

"Please," Estel's voice was a broken cry. "Recognize me. Recognize the bond." She was within reach of Boyd's snapping jaw. "You don't want to do this. I'm your mate."

I could hear the heavy pounding of footsteps approaching, racing down the hall. Tons of them. But they would be too late.

My heart stopped when Estel took that last step, grabbing Boyd's snout, and leaned her face in towards his right as he went in to bite.

"NO!" I screamed, blasting him one last time with more force than I thought I had in me, only this time the force was not scorching hot. It was like ice, freezing everything around me.
