"Who do you think I am, Amelia? You have no idea what I’m capable of finding out in a matter of time or a few days. If you want to know anything about your mother, I can provide you with the information that you want, or better still, I can bring her to you, ALIVE!"

I fluttered my brows at him, but I knew just how powerful he was. I knew just how much connection he had to finding my mother, and at this moment, I was desperate. I literally could do anything just to find out who my mother was and why I had this curse mark with me or while I was abandoned by her as a baby. Why did she leave?

I stared at him in silence, not knowing what to do,

I knew deep down that he could see the desperation in my eyes because he knew the one thing I would give anything in the world just to find- My mother, and he was using it against me,

How cruel could this man be just to get what he wanted desperately,
