Seven Years of Marriage with Jake

Chapter 50

Chapter 7

The next day at dawn.

Liam finally returned.

Uncharacteristically, he brought me some breakfast and even bought some things he had previously refused to let me buy.

He handed me those "useless trinkets," trying to appease me.

"Olivia, I'm really sorry about last night."

"After I helped Aria deal with her ex-boyfriend situation, I found out my car had broken down, so. I had to make do with staying at a hotel for the night."

"I only got the car fixed and came back when it was light out."

As he spoke, Liam's eyes flickered slightly, a telltale sign of his lying.

If Aria was a high-level bitch, Then Liam was the lowest-level liar.

It only took one glance to see through his facade.

"Oh."

I nonchalantly moved closer to him. Liam thought I was going to hug him and was just about to breathe a sigh of relief, wrapping his arms around my back. Suddenly, my hand slipped into his pocket.

I pulled out a black voice recorder.

Liam's gaze fell on the voice recorder, and his expression started to turn ugly.

I pressed play.

An unbearable sound came from the voice recorder.

The voice was almost entirely Aria's.

"Liam, how do you explain your 'good bro' moaning so happily?"
