Rewriting My Heart's Fate (Ethan and Evelyn)

Chapter 439

Within a few hours, I had familiarized myself with every detail of the branch office's operations. From internal structures to staffing, business development to future plans, I left no stone unturned. Most importantly, I thoroughly studied the design drafts and proposals. I analyzed every aspect to grasp their significance, even though interior design wasn't my area of expertise.

By evening, a brief meeting was called as scheduled. Alongside Charles, the company's senior management team was present. All of them were waiting for Ethan to preside over the proceedings. The atmosphere in the conference room was tense and solemn.

Seated to Ethan's right, I felt a wave of unease wash over me. I wasn't sure if my proposal would withstand his scrutiny, nor did I dare to imagine the consequences if it fell short of his expectations. "Evelyn, present your proposal," Ethan said indifferently.

I took a deep breath and rose to my feet. My movements were slightly stiff.

My gaze swept across the room, and I took in faces filled with a mix of curiosity and nervousness before my eyes settled on Ethan's stern expression.

"I believe it's time for a revolutionary change to Grayson Group's logo. The current logo is too outdated and conservative. It no longer reflects Grayson Group's core values of 'innovation, style, and globalization.' Therefore, I propose a redesign that reflects a modern and forward-thinking brand identity."

I clicked the remote, and the screen lit up with colorful logo concepts. The sleek geometric patterns and modern designs immediately captured the room's attention.

"I aim to showcase Grayson Group's distinctive and stylish ethos with minimalistic visual elements. The bold use of color blocking and asymmetrical composition reflects our brand's fearless innovation and determination to break conventions. This modern yet sophisticated aesthetic is exactly what's needed to set trends and lead the fashion industry.

Passion surged within me as I spoke, and the creative spark was fueling my confidence and excitement. When I concluded, Charles and the other executives erupted in enthusiastic applause.

They hadn't expected a fashion designer to demonstrate such skill in graphic design. My versatility left them genuinely impressed.

"Incredible work, Ms. Wiley!"

"Your talent extends to logo design too. You're truly a treasure for Grayson Group!"

The genuine compliments made my cheeks flush, and I offered a shy smile in response.

I stole a glance at Ethan, only to find him staring intently at the screen, his expression unreadable.

Was he dissatisfied with my proposal? My heart jumped to my throat, and a light sheen of sweat gathered on my palms.

Anxiety crept in as the room fell into an uneasy silence. All eyes turned to Ethan, awaiting his final verdict.

"Hmm. The proposal is solid," he said at last, his tone measured and calm. "It seems bringing Ms. Wiley here was the right call. Charles, make sure her design is executed flawlessly."

"Yes, Mr. Grayson!" Charles replied eagerly, "Ms. Wiley's work is outstanding. I'll ensure it's implemented to perfection!"

Relief washed over me, lifting the

heavy weight on my chest.

Fortunately, Ethan was

things difficult. It seemed he was satisfied with my efforts.

And yet, something still felt off. While he

wledged my work, his

tone carried a certain detachment, as though this was just another routine assignment.

Could it be that his expectations for me were so high that he considered this achievement barely noteworthy?
