Chapter 428 Do Not Follow Me
"Bonnie, we will let you be as happy as today! Forever!" The little girl gave each of them a kiss on the face. Then, them three gradually fell into sweet dreams.
The next morning. It was a workday.
Sophia and Drake went to their companies separately.
And Bonnie was taken out by Emma.
At noon, Drake had a lunch appointment with his clients. Jessica kept spying on Drake. She knew it was an opportunity. Thus, she paid a waiter for her suit, changed into it, and stepped toward Drake's private room.
It was the first time that Jessica had got so close to Drake when she served up dishes.
Before, she could just see him far away. In this time, she could feel his aura of power which made her be sure that she did like this man... and she wanted him, indeed.
Some clients noticed her affection to Drake and said smiling, "Mr. Riley, you're so charming that the waitress can't help staring at you."
Drake threw a look at her, and then he said frowning, "Jessica!"
Jessica felt astonished that he still remembered her.
A client felt weird and asked, "Do you two know each other?"
Drake asked Jessica impassively, "What are you doing here?"
"Mr. Riley, you still remember me?"
Of course, Drake remembered all the people who might be hostile to Sophia.
But Jessica didn't know what Drake though about. She had prepared some excuses and said sadly, "You know what my younger brother did. After that, my mother disliked me and my father even didn't want to see me. So, I had no reason to stay in that home, then I came here."
"But I didn't have much money and didn't know what to do. Later I heard that this restaurant needed waitress. Then I came here to apply for it and I made it, though it's a bit out of my expectation."
"But what surprises me more is that I can meet you here!"
"Ehn," Drake replied coldly.
Jessica was waiting for what he would say next. However, he didn't look at her at all but told his clients about her identity.
The clients heard that she came from the Greenspan family and quickly associated her with Noah who liked Sophia. All of them understood and changed the subject.
Jessica was a bit confused. According to her imagination, Drake should feel sympathy for her and gave her a hand after he heard her experience, shouldn't he? It was totally different from what she thought before.
But she didn't show her disappointment. Now that Drake didn't say anything, she should be patient.
When she poured wine for Drake, she accidentally got some on Drake because she was not good at it.
"Sorry! Sorry!" Jessica quickly wiped the wine off him with a towel.
But it was on Drake's thigh. Drake dodged her subconsciously and said, "It's OK!"
Seemingly, Jessica didn't realize that Drake had been angry. She moved forward again and said, "Let me help you. It must look bad if you get out like this."
Jessica knew that people with high status paid much attention to their image. Especially, what if some paparazzi photographed him wearing tarnished clothes?
"I say it's OK. Do you hear that?" Drake seemed to lose his patience with her.
Jessica got stunned. One of the client next to her said, "Well, you should get out of here!"
Drake gave a phone call to Paul.
The Client bantered, "It seems that this lady of the Greenspan family is very interested in you!" "Although you have got married, you're still sought-after!"
Drake, of course, read Jessica's thoughts.
But Jessica should take a fresh look at herself to think if she was qualified to hit on him.
Soon, Paul brought a new pair of trousers for Drake. Although Drake was not that fastidious, it was not comfortable for him to wear the wet clothes. Then he was about to change it. Jessica was waiting for Drake outsides the room. As she saw Drake, she hurriedly walked to him and said, "Mr. Riley, let me deal with your trousers!"
She thought she could seize the chance and then sent the trousers back to the place where Drake and Sophia lived.
In that situation, Sophia would definitely misunderstand.
"It's OK. I don't need you to deal with it," Drake said sullenly.
"It's all my fault. I should do it for you. Mr. Riley..."
As Jessica was about to continue, Drake suddenly stopped on his tracks.
His aura was so oppressive.
Jessica looked at him, feeling a bit scared.
"Do not follow me!"
Just then, a manager of this restaurant came by. Although he couldn't see Jessica well, he thought something just happened since Jessica was in staff uniform, thereby coming to investigate. "Mr. Riley, may I confirm if the waitress did something wrong to you? I'm honored to cope with it for you."
"Then fire her!"
The manager gave Jessica a look. Before he wanted to say something, he found Jessica seemed unfamiliar to him.
"Miss, are you the waitress of our company?"
Jessica said directly, "Of course not!"
She felt really angry because she never expected that she would be dismissed. The plot of fiction never went on like this.
"So why are you in this uniform? Who are you!"
Drake heard that she wasn't an employee of this company and threw a significant glance at her.
Jessica then realized that she just put her foot in her mouth.
"Mr. Riley, I..."
Before she spoke up her explanation, she saw Drake walking away and ordering the manager, "Get her out of here! I don't want to see her anymore!"
The manager thought there was no need to keep her here since she was not the employee of the company. And he just asked the security guard to throw her out.
Jessica looked a bit wretched after being thrown out, but she didn't leave but kept waiting outside.
When Drake walked out of the restaurant, she ran to him immediately.
"Drake, what do you mean? I admit it was my fault to pour the wine on you. But it was an accident, and I have apologized to you. Why did you still ask the manager to throw me out?"
It was fortunate that she was in Sealand. If it was in Pinkerton, she would be really embarrassed.
Drake looked at her, "Jessica, don't get close to me. I know your intention."
Jessica opened her mouth, but no words came out. She didn't know what to say.
"I'm married. Don't you think it's indecent of you to hit on me?"
Jessica decided to be honest with Drake now that he had seen her through, "Yes, I get close to you because I want your attention. But I don't think I'm inferior to Sophia. I'm able to do whatever she can do." Suddenly, Drake leaned his perfectly beautiful face toward hers.
