Every man present couldn't help but feel envious. Sebastian would be successful if he ended up becoming a disciple of Tyler and marrying Kaitlyn, the most beautiful woman in Holton.

Tyler said in displeasure, "Kaitlyn, this young man has even greater talent than you. His future is limitless, so marrying him would not be a loss."

"I don't care! I won't agree, no matter what," Kaitlyn stubbornly replied.

Normally, she was obedient and never talked back. However, when it came to something as important as marriage, she was determined to stand her ground.

Tyler's face instantly turned grim. He said, "Marriage is always decided by the elders. I am your grandfather. Do you really think you have a choice in this? It's settled."

Kaitlyn could only look at her father, Korbin Gardner, hoping for some support. However, all she got was a helpless look in return.

Tyler was Korbin's father, and even though he was now the sect leader, he had always been afraid of his father.

Korbin didn't have the courage to confront Tyler because if he angered him, he would most likely get beaten by him in front of everyone.

Tyler looked at Sebastian and asked, "What are you hesitating for? You should know there are countless people who want to become my disciple, and even more who wish they could marry my granddaughter."

Everyone silently nodded in agreement. Becoming Tyler's disciple and marrying Kaitlyn were everyone's dreams. If it were them, they would have already knelt down in gratitude. This was an opportunity that people could only wish for.

Just as everyone assumed Sebastian would accept, he shook his head. He said, "I would like to take Bertha as my mentor instead."

"I'm more interested in pills," Sebastian replied truthfully.

Besides, there was always the possibility of gaining access to rare alchemical recipes, something Sebastian definitely needed.

Tyler was at a loss for words. The people around them were also baffled, especially the men. "This guy must be out of his mind! Although becoming Bertha's disciple would grant him access to lots of pills, that means he won't be able to marry Ms. Gardner!"
