Silence.
“I’m just curious, Kage, because you’ve never asked. You haven’t shown any interest to see them or know where they are. I know we didn’t end on a right note, but I don’t think it’s right. Or do you?”
She’d completely forgotten about his warning to address him formally.
Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at him, and it was all she could do not to shed
This time, it was Kage’s turn to walk out on her. He left without saying a word.

of them.
The main event for The En Vogue Affair finally commenced.
Different models waited in the corner of the stage and each at their turn, walked down the runway, showcasing their unique designs.
The brand each model was representing was announced, and from the expressions on the guests‘ faces, one could easily tell which appealed to the crowd.
The model under Astréa Label was announced and the guests nodded, clearly impressed with the outfits.
Sylvie was actually happy that June and Astrid had been able to pull something like that considering the latest drama in ti family.
It’s been three days since Lex broke up with June. Galen was still furious at her and even had her suspended from the company. If it wasn’t for the fact that she and Astrid had already started working on the Ev Vogue Affair dress together, hedy have made sure she didn’t have a single thing she was doing at the company.
Astrid was still in Galen’s bad books and he still rarely talked to her. Safe to say the Mansion had been sadder over the past week.
The other day, Astrid’s mother had confronted her, telling her it was her fault the house was becoming gloomy.
But Sylvie didn’t ask Astrid to steal from her. Neither did she ask June to cheat on her fiance who wouldn’t stop pestering her. Sylvie refused to receive the blame for it.
The model under Chic Mirage was introduced as well, and while the guests nodded in approval, Sylvie would never disclose how good the dress actually looked.
To her, it was just as ugly as the backstabber.
Finally, the last model was introduced under Astréa Label.
The people were surprised because they thought Astréa Label already presented. They watched keenly for the model to

“Good gracious!”
“How’s this possible?”
This is beyond impossible!”
Whispers and gasps of astonishment rippled through the crowd. The model’s outfit was… beyond words could describe. The creativity was mind–blowing.

It was a breathtaking fusion of nature and technology. The gown was made of a luminescent fabric that shifted colors with each movement, mimicking a peacock’s feathers. Each layer was adorned hand–painted with wildflowers that seemed to bloom in real time.
The sleeves flowed like wisps of smoke, gradually fading into crystal–like embellishments that scattered light like prisms.

In their years of fashion, they’d never seen a thing like it. The cameras flashed more brightly at the model as she walked the runway, dominating the stage and demanding attention that none of the previous models had been able to.
The ovation did not die soon, not until the model completed her walk and left the stage.
Even after she left, the guests still murmured about it.
When it was time, the models were asked to line up the stage for the bidding to commerce. As already expected, people hardly looked at the other dresses and focused on the last one, and when the bidding process commenced, the bid was more on it.
“Never knew Astréa Label could make something this extraordinary,” Someone commented next to Galen.
The bid went as high as six hundred thousand dollars, and was sealed at that. While the rest of the guests grumbled from missing out on the dress, the coordinator advised them to reach out to Astréa Label to make replicas of it, or similar designs.
The rest of the designers weren’t happy that the last model had stolen the spotlight. The guests finally paid attention to them with the other dress being sold out, but none of the other dresses were bidded for as high as three hundred thousand dollars.
When the bid came to an end, the designers of each dress were then called out one after the other to reveal themselves and also explain their art.
Each person made their way to the stage when they were called and explained their creativity. And while the guests nodded and clapped, they were all waiting for the last designer.
And she finally did come.
But what a lot people didn’t expect–especially those that knew her–was for Sylvie to be the one to climb
June and Astrid were pale, their mouths falling open in shock, whereas Sylvie had a big smile on her face.
up the stage.
When they’d announced a new dress under Astréa Label, Astrid and June had been surprised and thought it was one of the staff. After all, their grandfather was mad at them. So, they figured that was the reason he didn’t inform them about it. But after seeing the design and the commotion it stirred, they began to suspect it wasn’t just any staff.
Astrid felt like throwing up, and June wanted to scream out loud
Sylvie, on the first hand, blushed as she gracefully climbed the stage while the ovation continued around her. The guests were mesmerized by her beauty and suddenly wondered which to give more compliment to–she or the dress?
“Wow. Such beauty behind such an extraordinary art,” the show organizer said. “Your work is amazing, Ms.”
“Thank you,” Sylvie bobbed with a slightly nervous smile.
Despite how nervous she had been, a part of her had been sure this would be a huge success. She hadn’t been bragging, but she just trusted her skills so much and knew she was going to pull up an extraordinary design.
She had Ruby register a slot under the Astréa Label name. But eventually, Galen had to find out. Sylvie had feared that her grandfather would cancel her slot, but to her surprise, he let her present.
She could see him from where she stood on the stage, and judging from his expression, he looked very proud.

“What’s your name, please?” The coordinator sheet, holding the microphone to her mouth.
Sylvie’s heart skipped a little. She stole a glance at Galen before she smiled and answered. “Sylvie Cheng.”
She didn’t need to look at her sisters to know all hell must’ve let loose already. They might strangle her when they get home.
But that was it. Sylvie was tired of being kept in the shadows. For the next part of her plans, she needed people to know she was a Cheng.
“Oh, wow. Art is really in the blood, isn’t it?” The young woman chuckled. “Care to explain what brought about this creativity?”
“Of course.”

bobbed Sylvie went ahead to gladly explain the details of her dress, as well as the idea behind it. With the way their heads, it was obvious they were beyond impressed, and this realization sent butterflies flying around her stomach.
“Thank you so much for your gracing us with this today, Ms. We’re the ones who are honored,” the presenter said when she finished.
“Thank you,” Sylvie said with a blush, dropping her head.
As she descended the stage, she intentionally locked eyes with Cindy, and boy, she couldn’t help the smile that covered her face at the furious look in Cindy’s face.
Sylvie didn’t need to say the word, but Cindy could clearly see it in her expression, the words of ‘I told you there might be a surprise!
