My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2350

When Yesseca reached the compound of her apartment, she saw a familiar figure. She was stunned.

For a moment, she thought she was hallucinating.

After rubbing her eyes, he was still there. He was not an illusion.

It was indeed Tremaine.

Tremaine also noticed Yesseca.

Their eyes met.

It was like a thousand year had passed as they stared at each other.

Time and space seemed to have come to a standstill.

After an unknown period, Yesseca finally turned her gaze away and stopped looking at Tremaine.

She wanted to turn around and leave.

But when she was about to turn around, she stopped abruptly.

Why did she turn around?

Wasn't she going home?

Since she was going home, how could she turn

around to avoid him?

She was over him, so she shouldn't have to avoid him.

Yesseca took a deep breath and then walked towards the corridor.

When she passed by Tremaine, she felt a mountain of feelings surging towards her heart. She didn't dare to look sideways as she continued walking forward. "Yesseca." A low and suppressed voice sounded.

Her fingertips trembled, but she continued to walk forward as if she didn't hear anything.

"I'm getting married." The voice continued.

Her fingertips trembled even more, but she did not stop.

"Will you congratulate me?" Seeing that Yesseca was about to enter the building, Tremaine shouted.

Yesseca stopped walking.

She turned around.

Tremaine looked at her with red eyes.

She wanted to squeeze out a smile, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't do it. Her eye drooped as she said, "Of course. Happy marriage." They were such simple words, but it was hard for her to say them.

It was as if each word weighed a thousand pounds.

And they crushed her throat while she was trying to speak.

Her words transformed into invisible knives that cut into his heart.

Blood spurted out in an instant.

It was heart-wrenching.

It was extremely uncomfortable.

"Thank you," Tremaine said.

Yesseca turned around and continued to make her way to her house.

After a few steps, she heard hurried footsteps behind her. Before she could react, someone hugged her tightly from behind.

It was a warm, familiar hug.

She was sinking into his embrace.

At this moment, she felt her heart stop beating.

She didn't say anything or respond as if she was a statue and let him hold her.

Tremaine didn't say anything as he hugged Yesseca tightly.

Time ticked by.

A faint voice sounded in her ears.

It was her neighbor on the first floor.

She could always hear her neighbors' conversation due to the poor soundproofing.

And it brought her back to reality.

What was she doing?

How could they be hugging?

Their relationship was over!

Yesseca pushed him away forcefully.

All of her sudden, there was nothing but emptiness in Tremaine's hands.

Seeing her walking up the flight of stairs, he had an uncontrollable impulse.

"Yesseca!" he shouted, "As long as you say no, I will cancel my wedding tomorrow." Her body stiffened.

She slowly turned back.

She could have done it in one second, but it took her a full minute.

She looked at Tremaine and said word by word, "I wish you a happy marriage. I wish you would be happy

Your future wife for the rest of your lives."

After saying that, Yesseca ran upstairs as if she would regret saying such words.

"Bang!"

She opened the door and then closed it heavily. Her body trembled as she leaned against the door.

Tears fell silently from her eyes.

Preslie came back with two boxes of food.

Although Yesseca said she wasn't hungry and didn't need food, she still bought her share.

When Preslie reached the first floor, she saw a figure.

The person had his back facing her as he stood motionless by the stairs like a statue.

Preslie was speechless.

Why did this person look so much like Tremaine?

She shook his head.

It was impossible for him to show up.

How could it be him?

Tremaine was going to marry another woman, so it was impossible for him to come to Agaphen City.

She knew she must be seeing things.

She walked straight over and passed

by the man. She took a sidelong glance at him out of curiosity. With a

bang, the food that she carried fell to

the ground.

It was really Tremaine!

Preslie fell silent.

She didn't know what was wrong with him and she didn't dare to ask. She immediately ran upstairs and went home.

When she reached home, she saw Yesseca crying.

She was anxious. "What's wrong? Why are you crying again?"

When she asked, she thought of Tremaine and immediately got mad. "Did Tremaine come to you to bully you? I saw him standing outside." Yesseca choke with sobs, "Is he still there?"

"Yes. He stood outside like a statue by the stairs. He didn't even react when I passed by and his eyes were fixed somewhere."

Her words made Yesseca cry even harder.

"What's wrong with you? Don't cry. Tell me what's going on." Preslie got even more anxious.

It took Yesseca a while to suppress her emotions.

She said, "I'm fine. Could you help me to my bedroom? I want to rest up. I'll be fine after some rest." "Okay, okay," Preslie agreed, "I'll help you." She then supported Yesseca to the bedroom. She didn't dare to leave and stayed by Yesseca's side after putting her to bed.

Time ticked by.

Yesseca stared at the ceiling with red eyes while Preslie remained silent beside her. Preslie was anxious just watching Yesseca. About an hour later, Yesseca suddenly sat up from the bed.

Preslie immediately supported Yesseca and said, "Do you want..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Yesseca pushed her away and rushed towards the door without even putting on her shoes.

Preslie followed behind her immediately.

Yesseca rushed out of the door and towards the corridor.

There was no one in the corridor.

Tremaine was no longer there.

Yesseca stared at the stairs that he had been on not long ago.

The dim light made her figure look quite strange.

It frightened Preslie.

She was so anxious that she was about to cry. "What's wrong with you? Say something! You're

scaring me."

Yesseca turned around. Her voice was so soft, almost inaudible. "I'm fine. Let's go back."

Preslie supported Yesseca home.

As soon as Yesseca got home, she entered the bedroom and immediately lay on the bed.

This time, she no longer stared at the ceiling with her eyes open but closed them.
