Mommy for Billionaire's Baby

Chapter 54

After Tasya married Nathan, who was wealthy beyond measure, did she just sit idly at home waiting for her husband to return? Not at all. In fact, Nathan always dragged her along wherever his increasingly busy work took him. Naina often joined them when her schedule allowed. More precisely, they left on Fridays, and by Sunday evening, they were back home together. Mr. Jack always accompanied them wherever they went in the end.

Being Naina's chaperone sometimes meant Tasya became an impromptu chauffeur if Nathan wanted to explore tourist destinations. But that could be counted on one hand in the five months since their marriage began. Nothing had changed in the activities they had each pursued in this two-story house. Naina found a suitable secondary school with a curriculum she could follow. For this round, Tasya helped ensure Naina didn't feel pressured in any way. Tasya herself played the middleman in the pressures that sometimes besieged Naina. She felt sorry for Naina if she felt overwhelmed right from the start after leaving elementary school. She didn't want school to become a bad experience for the girl. She hoped Naina could enjoy the fun of going to school and socializing with peers.

Perhaps because of that, their relationship grew closer. Naina shared everything that troubled her heart with Tasya, no longer keeping things to herself and letting her behavior become unpredictable as a form of release. Tasya's presence in her life had truly had a positive impact, and Naina was grateful for it.

Even though, up to this moment, there was still no baby sibling in Tasya's belly, Naina wasn't too concerned. Besides, she realized that competing with and showing off to Olivia wasn't limited to just having a baby sibling. There were many things she could do to irritate the red-haired woman-wait, not Seira, someone else. It wasn't Seira. Her relationship with Seira was quite good. Sometimes they visited together, and as a bonus, Naina got to enjoy Seira's homemade salad for free.

Her life was really lucky, wasn't it? Especially Tasya.

"Are you daydreaming, Tasya?" Nathan asked just before leaving his wife to enter the room. Since Faldom could be considered a family business, Tasya was given a special privilege to work there as an assistant while Nathan remained focused on the many expansions he was planning for Faldom. If Nathan had a say in it, their legitimate marriage wouldn't be questioned just because of one office.

"Huh?" Tasya blinked. "No, I was just thinking about Naina."

Nathan frowned. "Why Naina?"

"This morning, she left a message saying she wants to come with us to Sidoarjo tomorrow."

"Oh my." Nathan sighed softly, pulling a chair near Tasya's desk. "We won't have much free time in Sidoarjo this time, you know. Our schedule is packed."

"I know," Tasya replied calmly.

"What if she's alone? Feeling lonely? Bothering us? The project in Sidoarjo is significant, Tasya," Nathan voiced his concerns.

"I understand, Honey."

"And then?"

Tasya's smile widened. "Coincidentally, Ronan is on vacation because he's accompanying Robin in search of a good Pencak Silat training center. I want to take them along."

"Just tell them." Nathan's lips curled into a big smile. "I agree with that. I'm just worried about Naina feeling lonely. Do you remember when we went to New South Wales last month? What happened? Naina threw a tantrum, and you had to go and pick her up, didn't you?"

Tasya nodded in agreement.

"Alright, then, arrange it. I'm okay with it. We'll just decide which car to use later."

"Okay, Boss." Tasya returned to her work, which was spread out on her desk. She left Nathan watching her more closely than usual. In the past, she might have felt awkward or even disliked too much attention from Nathan. But this time, she was happy to be the center of her husband's attention. It meant that she had a face that Nathan never grew tired of looking at.

Especially since she had followed her husband's request to remove the owl-like glasses that had faithfully accompanied her for the past few years. Her Lasik eye surgery had been successful. Even though she didn't need any visual aids anymore, she still wore them occasionally to reduce the radiation that could affect her eyes. The glasses' model had been personally chosen by Nathan.

For some reason, she felt that Nathan truly cared about her life. Regardless of how small her needs were, Nathan always ensured they were met. Even without asking, Nathan provided and fulfilled her desires. When it came to providing for their family, there was no need to ask; Nathan was a responsible man who understood his obligations. Moreover, he had a deep understanding of Tasya's role in his family.

That's why Nathan didn't object to Tasya continuing to work, especially when it meant working with him.

"Have I complimented you today, Tasya?" Nathan asked, his smile as charming as possible. Who knows, maybe Tasya would throw herself at him. Well, at the very least, a little intimacy in his office wouldn't be a problem, would it? After all, he had quickly completed all his work. For Nathan, life was now incredibly enjoyable. His enthusiasm was at its peak.

His main source of motivation was right in front of him. Furthermore, what he was aiming for would be within his reach in a moment. So, why should he feel burdened by numerous reports? In fact, the reports were the perfect excuse to have Tasya sit on his lap, weren't they? Nathan was sly!

"Done. Now, maybe the seventh one?" Tasya briefly raised her eyes and then busied herself with the numbers in front of her. "Could you go back to your office, Dad? There's an urgent email from Mr. Robert. He's asking for an immediate response."

Nathan sighed softly. "You're just trying to get rid of me."

"I'm not lying, Mr. Nathan. I'm not making excuses either. Besides, wasn't it not enough last night?" Nathan laughed. "We didn't shower together, so it was still lacking."
