Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 831

Ben asked, "Should I have him brought to you?"

"No need," Debra replied, her stride unbroken. "I'll handle this myself."

She pushed open the office door. The chair was facing away, but the nameplate on the desk read: CEO, Garland Eaton.

The name rang a bell, but she couldn't quite place it.

The chair spun around, revealing a man dressed in a casual sweatshirt and pants, black-rimmed glasses perched on his nose. He was handsome, with bushy eyebrows and eyes that sparkled with mischief. Debra thought he was a little over the top.

"Looking for me?" Garland asked, leaning his chin on his hand as Debra's entourage filed into the office.

Debra had learned something during her time in Orkgate. Sometimes, a show of force was necessary.

But Garland seemed unruffled, pulling out his phone to record it.

His voice was lazy yet magnetic. "Ladies and gentlemen, behold. Gangsters are harassing innocent citizens. Is there no justice left in this city?"

Debra stepped forward, snatched the phone from his hand, and smashed it to the ground. The sharp crack echoed through the room. Garland stared at the shattered remains and then at the SIM card Debra casually tossed aside.

While he was in shock, Debra pulled

a check for 500 thousand dollars

from her pocket and placed itį

front of him. "For your phone.

Then she pulled out another check, this one for 50 million dollars, and placed it on the desk. "And this is for your company."

The employees peeked in, curious about what was going on.

Their agency was doing fine, but their monthly revenue was only several hundred thousand. 50. million dollars was enough to buy New Age ten times over.

Garland picked up the checks and glanced at them. "Can I take the 500 thousand as a bribe?"

"Nah," Debra replied without missing a beat. "I don't need your company. I want you."

There was a round of gasps.

He frowned, leaning back in his chair. "Sorry, I'm already spoken for."

Debra smiled slightly, resisting the urge to slap him. "Mr. Eaton, I want you to work for me."

"I prefer being my own boss," Garland replied.

Debra's smile faded, her eyes blazing with determination. "As l said, I don't need this company. If you want to be the boss, I'll buy it and give it to you. But you? You're not negotiable."
