Enticing (Red Lips & White Lies Book 3)

Enticing: Chapter 20

Hockey is a superstitious sport. Some guys only use a certain stick or skates or tape. Others wear the same socks all season, and those fuckers smell like ass after a few games. By the end of the season, they should be burned. I had a goalie once, who legit laid all his gear out on the floor around him, and if you stepped on any of it, you’d better be prepared to get your ass kicked. Nix and I listen to the music being pumped into the locker room and lock in next to each other in the corner of the room we share with the Wilders.

But today, he’s not locked-in. He’s glaring at me. And he’s pissed.

“Is it true?” he asks after staring at his phone for a few minutes.

“Is what true?” I counter, having no idea what the hell he’s talking about. I’m pretty sure we got the wedding shit out of the way between last night and this morning.

I smile at the picture Addie just sent me. Izzy’s lying on the couch, her head on Addie’s lap, while Lennox sleeps on Addie’s chest. Not sure when these three girls turned into my whole world, but damn, it happened fast.

I blow Nix off until he shoves his phone in my face. “Does your new wife own the Boston Bay Hawks?”

Shit.

I grab the phone from Nix’s hand and read the article on the screen. I should have known the Kronicles would find this shit before we were ready to go there with everybody in town.

“Is it?” he groans, and Ares leans in, trying to see the phone.

“What’cha got there, Sinclair?”

“Dude.” A stress ball hits me in the head from across the locker room. “Your wife owns the Bay Hawks?”

The whole fucking team is staring at me, including Coach Kane and Coach Kingston, who just stepped out of their offices. Everybody wants an answer. One I don’t exactly have, and what I do have, I’m not sure Addie wants shared. But if the Kroydon Kronicles already ran with it, I’m pretty sure her choice was already taken away.

Fuck…This just keeps getting better.

“Yeah. Addie’s family owns the Bay Hawks. But she doesn’t have anything to do with them. She’s an author, and she lives here. She’s also my fucking wife, so if any of you have a problem with that, let me know, and we can take that shit outside after the game.” I look around the now-quiet locker room. “We good?”

No one answers until Coach Kane repeats it. “Your teammate answered your question and asked if you’re good. Does anybody have a problem we need to know about?”

“No, Coach,” is echoed, and he nods. “Good. Then let’s get warmed up, men. Time to kick Minnesota’s asses.”

Nixon waits until it’s just us before he stops me. “Something’s going on with you, Leo. You were pissed as hell when you found out I was looking into a trade without talking to you. You’re a talker and a fucking big mouth. And you’ve stopped talking and stopped sharing. You’re keeping all your shit to yourself, and that’s not like you. You found my shit out from Hunter. I’ve had to find yours out from the Kroydon fucking Kronicles. If you can honestly tell me that wouldn’t piss you off, I’ll shut the fuck up and won’t say another word. But I don’t think you can say it.”

I shrug. “Not sure what you want to hear, brother. I married a woman who doesn’t want the world to know everything she’s doing, and I respect it. You telling me if Kenzie needed you to keep things quiet for her to feel comfortable, you wouldn’t do it?”

“I’d do anything she ever needed me to do,” he answers without even thinking about it, then nods slowly, realization dawning. “You’ve changed, man . . . I guess I’m just having a hard time wrapping my head around it. You were always this easygoing shithead. And now, you’re . . . I don’t know. You’re protective and kinda threatening. I mean, I could still kick your ass, but I can still respect it, if I have to.”

I get what he’s saying, but just because that’s how he sees me doesn’t mean that’s all I was ever going to be.

“Whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night, man.” I skate onto the ice and turn to stretch the back of my hammies. “I’d hand you your ass.”

“I’d beat both your asses. Now fucking skate, dickheads.” Ares laughs and takes off.

“You love her?” Nix asks.

“Fuck yes, I love her.” Even if she’s not ready to hear it yet.

“Then don’t fuck it up, brother.”

I think about the girls lying on the couch and smile again.

Yeah . . . I’ve got no plans to fuck this up.

I’m quiet when I let myself into the dark house after the game and follow the sound of the television into the family room. Addie, Izzy, and Lennox are all asleep, basically in the same positions they were in before the game, and my heart does something funny in my chest.

It settles.

No chance this woman is getting rid of me in a year.

This marriage isn’t ending.

And the way I feel about her and the girls isn’t changing.

The three of them are mine.

I lean down and brush my lips over Addie’s forehead, and her eyes crack open. “Hi,” she whispers and looks at both kids. “I guess we fell asleep.”

“How about I carry Izzy to bed, then come back for Lennox?” I offer and press my lips to hers, just because I can, and I fucking want to.

“You get Izzy. I’ve got Lennox.” She smiles.

I pick Izzy up and press my lips to her forehead, grateful she’s not burning up, and carry her to bed. Poor kid. Being sick is the worst.

“Leo?” she asks with a scratchy voice.

“Yeah, Izz? Do you need something?”

“We watched your game. I saw your goal.” She coughs, and I look for a trash can in case she pukes, but she doesn’t need it. She curls up on her side, and I tuck her under the blanket.

“Thanks, short stack.” This kid can be as prickly as her mom, but for some reason, she let me in, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to tell her what that means to me. “You just holler if you need something, and I’ll come running, okay?”

She nods and closes her eyes. “Love you, Leo.”

Well, shit.

Prickly exterior. Warm and gooey interior. Like I thought—just like her mom.

I run a hand over her wild hair, and she relaxes under my touch. “Love you too, Izz.”

It only takes a few minutes for her breathing to even out before I sneak out and peek in Lennox’s room. Baby girl is sound asleep. Her knees are bent with her little white footie-pajama-covered butt up in the air.

Two for two, down.

That means I get their mother to myself.

I walk into the bedroom and find the bathroom door open and Addie inside throwing her hair up. “Is she asleep?”

“Yeah, sweetheart.” I step up behind her and press my lips to her neck. “She’s asleep.”

Her smile is instantaneous as she squirms under my touch. “Leo . . . I have to wash the funk off me. I’ve been puked on and spit up on today.”

“Oh yeah?” I ask, pulling her back against me.

“I mean . . . I could probably use some help reaching my back.” She tilts her head to the side and gives me better access to her long neck. A slow, soft smile spreads across her beautiful face, and I swear she takes my breath away. “Think you can help me with that?”

I lift her up and sit her on the vanity, then step between her creamy thighs. “I think I can help with that, baby.” I lean over and turn on the water in the antique clawfoot tub.

“I was thinking a shower. It’s faster,” she whispers, and something clicks. And once it does, I wonder if maybe I’m a little slow, like my siblings tease, because I’m not sure how I never realized it before. When she’s nervous, she whispers.

“Who says we need to be fast?” I ask her, then rummage around under the sink, looking for bubble bath. Guess shampoo is gonna have to do. I squirt a bottle that smells like vanilla mint into the tub, and she giggles.

“That’s shampoo, not bubble bath, Leo.” She hops off the counter and pushes me out of the way, then turns the hot water knob to full blast until steam is filling the room and water is nearly filling the tub. She eyes it, then me. “Think we’re going to fit?”

I run my hands under her hoodie, loving the fact it’s the one I gave her days ago. “Oh, I’m pretty sure I can make it fit, wife.”

“It?” She furrows her brow and pulls my shirt over my head.

“It . . . Us . . . same difference,” I tease and let her unbuckle my belt and push down my pants and boxers, loving the way her eyes turn to molten chocolate once I’m naked in front of her. “My eyes are up here, Adelaide.”

Her mouth forms a perfect little O as she snaps her gaze up to mine, then laughs and pushes at my chest. “You get in first. Then me.”

“Oh yeah?” I ask as I step into the scalding hot water and hiss. “Shit, baby. You trying to boil my balls?”

Addie laughs, and the sound is so free, I swear it breaks something in me because I made her feel that way. And I swear to fucking God, it’s my mission to hear that every damn day.

She pulls my sweatshirt over her head, and her perfect tits, full and firm, bounce with the movement before she slips her thumbs under her sleep shorts and pushes them down her legs, leaving her completely bare to me. “Don’t be a baby, Sinclair. Why would I want to boil your balls? I have big plans for them.”

With her hands on her exquisite hips, she stands like a golden goddess, lighting a candle and then shutting off the lights. Leaving just the flicker of the wick lighting the glowing warm in the room.

My eyes adjust and caress every soft curve of her body. The dip of her waist and flare of her hips, her soft stomach and the pale stretch marks faded against her skin. I study her in a way I didn’t get to last night as she reaches out and takes my hand for balance.

She’s stunning.

“Careful, sweetheart,” I warn, not wanting her to slip as she slowly lowers one foot, then the other into the bubbling water until she’s nestled between my legs, her knees bent and her arms wrapped around them as her back rests against my chest.

A perfect fit.

Her hair tickles my nose, and we both relax in the warm water.

“We watched your game,” she tells me softly. “Izzy was sad not to be there.”

“She told me something tonight,” I admit, not wanting to keep anything from her.

“Oh yeah?” She looks over her shoulder and sinks further into the bubbles. “What did she say?”

I grab the bar of soap and run it up and down her arms. “She said she loved me.”

The words hang in the air for a good minute before Addie turns her head my way. “And what did you say?”

Yup. Whispered.

“I told her the truth. I love her too.”

Addie turns back around, so she’s no longer facing me but lying completely against me. “You’re an easy person to love, Leo.”

If it’s possible, those words are even quieter. And I somehow know, while they’re not exactly what I was hoping to hear, they’re everything she can give me right now, and because of that, they’re everything.

I make another soapy sweep with my hands down her arms, then over her chest, loving the way she melts against me as I run them over her ribs, then up her thighs until I’m teasing her entrance.

“You and the girls are pretty easy to love, yourselves, Mrs. Sinclair.”

Carefully, Addie turns in my arms and ignores the bubbles sloshing over the sides of the tub. She wraps her legs around my waist and drags a wet finger down my face. “I’m not sure if I’m ever going to be able to give you more than that, Leo.”

I run my lips over hers. “I’ll never ask you for more than you can give me.”

Her beautiful chocolate eyes close as her pussy drags over my cock. “I’m not sure why you put up with any of this when you could have any woman you wanted.”

She brushes over me again, and I want nothing more than to push up inside her and give us both what we need. But she needs to hear this first.

“You are the woman I want, and I’ve got you right here in my arms. You’re my wife, Adelaide. Nothing about us may have happened the way you think it was supposed to, but I think everything happens for a reason. And for whatever reason, we were brought together. You were always meant to be mine.” I push the damp curls falling from her bun away from her face. “Mine, Addie. And I protect what’s mine. Nothing is ever going to hurt you again. I promise.”

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Leo.”

“Mine, wife.” I reach down and drag my cock through her sex, and her breath hitches.

“Yours,” she whispers and sinks down on my cock. “Now show me what it feels like.”

Addie

Pleasure spikes, and my body screams and vibrates with need as I sink down on Leo’s thick cock. I was sore all day today, after last night, but that’s what happens when you go nearly two years without sex, then find out you’re married to a man with the most perfect dick imaginable.

Big and thick and curved just right, Leo fucked me so good last night, I felt him all day. And as much as my body wants to protest the intrusion now, there’s no way I’ll ever say no.

My pussy is in sync with my heat. One big, exposed nerve. Want wars with need, both battling for my orgasm, but I refuse to rush this. Instead, I move achingly slowly over Leo. My eyes locked on his baby blues. Tensing and squeezing with each rise of my hips, loving the way he groans into my mouth. The feel of his hands on my ass, holding me close.

I kiss him with all the fear and confusion and frustration I’ve been feeling these past few weeks and fight the urge to pick up my pace. Desperately wanting this to last forever but chasing the high I could easily see myself becoming addicted to.

“That’s a good girl. Take your time, sweetheart. Take what you want and tell me what you need.”

Water sloshes over the tub with each slow snap of my hips, and my hair falls out of the elastic and down around my shoulders, kissing the edge of the water and hiding our faces behind a curtain of blonde waves.

“I fucking love your hair, Adelaide.” Leo gathers it in his hand and wraps it around his fist, using it to control me. To top me from the bottom. And I let him. Hell, I want him to.

“I don’t want to think, Leo. Use. Me. Take control and make me come. I . . . I don’t want to think or worry or stress. I just want to feel.”

He pulls my body down and lifts his hips up, and I whimper against his lips. “More,” I beg and lean my forehead against his as he fucks up into me over and over and over, leaving me panting and moaning and praying I don’t wake up the kids.

“Good girl, sweetheart,” he murmurs against my lips. “It’s just you and me.”

His words are like a match tossed into a bottle of alcohol before its thrown through the window and sets the entire city on fire.

A growl reverberates deep in Leo’s chest as he picks up speed and hits my G-spot again and again until I’m completely lost to everything that is my husband.

His words and his mouth and his body and his strength and his fucking magnificent cock.

“Oh, God,” I cry out as I chase my orgasm, and Leo palms my breast and pinches the very tip of my nipple.

“When you come, it’s with my name on your lips, wife.”

Fuck. That shouldn’t be so damn hot.

But it really, really is.

“So possessive, husband.” I drag my teeth over his lips and bite down. “Have I told you I fucking love it?”

Leo pinches again but harder this time, and I see stars as my orgasm detonates around me. “Leo—” I cry out, and as my vision dims, the last thing I see is the beautiful smile on my husband’s face.
