Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 747

Chloe mulled it over for a bit.

"Why not give it a shot?" she finally said.

In Chloe's mind, Grant was definitely into guys. So when Edgar popped the question, she didn't bat an eye. In fact, she thought Edgar and Grant would make a fantastic pair. One was as cool as a hitman, and the other as flamboyant as a blooming rose.

Edgar lit up immediately. "I've been crushing on the boss for years now. I even joined QUEEN just because of him. Over all this time, I've never seen him with a girlfriend. I really think he's just not into women."

Chloe, with full confidence, replied, "He's definitely into men. If you like him, go for it without a second thought."

Edgar was ecstatic. "You're his sister, and you've known him since you were kids, so you really know him well. Chloe, today you've given me the best surprise ever."

Grant had always been the low-key type. His birthdays were never a big deal. But this year was different. Everyone in the know was aware that Grant's sister was back in town. She was the life of the party and decided to throw a grand themed bash, even inviting the Eldridge Elites.

Grant adored his sister and wanted her to mingle with the high society of the Eldridge Elites, so he gave her the green light. The birthday dinner was set at the Dove Peace Hotel's banquet hall. It's the oldest and most historic hotel in Eldridge City, boasting over a century of history.

It was Chloe's first time visiting such

a place. The banquet hall was a gold-and-crystal extravaganza, with a massive chandelier that sparkled like a sky full of stars. The walls were dressed in elegant gold, carvings and stained glass, while the mahogany tables and chairs were decked out with silver cutlery and crystal glasses.

Under the twinkling lights, the air was rich with the scent of perfume mingling with fine wine. The band played a soft tune that danced

around the room. Walking in felt like stepping back a hundred years, into The

a lavish party from the past.

theme for the night was vintage.

Most guests were decked out in suits or fancy dresses. Chloe and Edgar made their entrance together. Chloe wore an emerald green dress, her makeup was her usual understated look, and her hair, in its natural waves, was casually let down with a pearl clip. Even with

minimal makeup, she was

showstopper. As they walked in, Chloe turned heads everywhere.

Edgar gave her a playful eye-roll and quipped, "Meeting you made me understand what 'natural beauty' really means. Seriously, how did your mom create someone so perfect?" Chloe just chuckled, "You're gorgeous too, my lady."

Edgar was in a dramatic outfit today, with a skirt that flared like petals and lace frills that floated around his neckline and cuffs like clouds. Despite being male, he rocked the dress with a unique, sophisticated flair. Chloe spotted Grant chatting with a girl. She wasn't in a dress but wore riding gear, looking vibrant and full of spirit. Chloe and Edgar strolled over to say hi.

"Hey there, friend."

Grant turned, and upon seeing Chloe, his eyes visibly softened.
