Betrayed Luna's Fated Mate

Chapter 21: Remembering More

-Brendon-

I knew I could have handled things differently with Celeste and our bond, but I was a warrior who was being told I had to wait until Celeste had turned 18 to have her, and that had been driving me crazy back then when she was too young to be claimed. But I was happy it had ended with her surrendering to me. Of course, I didn't like that she no longer remembered our time together, so I was happy to tell her a little about how I convinced her.

"I proved I could be different. I would stop with my comments. I would show you my support instead. You made me work for it by just taking you out there," I chuckled.

"I'm not an easy woman to win," she boasted.

"Definitely not," I agreed and kissed her hand, just as our food arrived and we let go so we could eat. "But you were worth it all."

"So the comments stopped, but did you do something for me? Some grand gesture?"

I chuckled a little, and she smiled.

"I did," I admitted.

"Tell me."

"I lured you into the woods."

"Creepy," she interrupted, making me small.

"No, because out there I prepared our first date."

"I thought I was hard to convince?"

"You were, I had to lure you," I reminded her, making her chuckle.

"All right, and what did we do out there."

"Watch the stars, eat some food, talked. You finally agreed to let me close after that night, and once you were more accepting of the bond, things went much smoother and much faster," I explained.

"But if I was so hesitant about it, why did I not just reject you?" she asked, and I suppressed the growl in my throat, but Celeste knew that wasn't the right thing to say to me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. I just wondered."

"It was not that you didn't want me. You just wanted to make sure we were right for each other. You only knew one side of me."

She nodded, giving me a small smile. "I see. Well, I'm glad you convinced me."

"I would have fought for you all my life."

"Who knew you could be so romantic?" she teased and took a bite of her food.

"Only for you. Remember, I am the best warrior in the pack, I have a reputation to uphold," I joked, making her chuckle, but everyone knew I grew mushy and soft when it came to Celeste. I just couldn't help myself. She was my dream woman. "I'm a lucky woman," she stated.

"Definitely," I agreed.

We continued to eat our food, and we even had some dessert. The date went exceptionally well, but then, just as I was about to suggest we go for a little walk, I noticed someone coming into the restaurant, and my mood instantly went sour. "Is he fucking everywhere?" I growled lowly, and Celeste twisted in her chair, seeing Zack coming our way with the luna who tried to kiss me. "Shit," she murmured.

The couple noticed us and smiled as they passed us, evil glints in their eyes as they went to their table. I turned to Celeste, trying my best to ignore them, but seeing she was still watching them almost mesmerized me. "Celeste?" I asked, but then she squeezed her eyes together and began groaning loudly. It was obvious she was experiencing another headache.

I moved to her side, rubbing her back and staying by her to ensure she wouldn't faint, but she managed to stay awake.

"Do you want some air?" I asked.

"Yes please."

We had already paid, so we grabbed out stuff and hurried outside, where it had begun raining a little. We stayed under the little half roof, and Celeste took deep breaths, calming down again, but she had gone very pale. I stepped in front of her, caressing her skin and keeping her focused on me.

"What's going on?" I asked. She acted differently this time. She seemed more terrified, but she couldn't tell me what was going on. She just kept shaking her head.

"Yes, talk to me," I insisted.

"I... Can we go home?" she asked me. "What?"

"I think we should go home," she whispered.

Something had obviously upset my mate, and I even took over driving, but she didn't speak the whole ride home. She continued to gaze out the window. I took her hand, and she intertwined our fingers, but that was the only thing she would do to show me she was still present in the real world.

When the house came into view, she was so slow in getting her seatbelt off and getting out of the car. I even managed to go over to her side before she had even taken a step out of the car. "Celeste, you look sick," I pointed out.

"I'm okay. I think I just need... a drink!" she exclaimed.

I stared, shocked, at her, but if it was a drink she wanted, I could get her one.

"Don't tell your brother I gave you one," I teased, seeing a small smile on her lips.

I helped her inside the house, and we went to one of the game rooms. They always had shelves with liquor, and I grabbed two glasses and a bottle of Scotch.

"You sure this is what you want?" I asked as I came over to her seat, where she sat.

"Yes, give me the hard stuff."

"Okay," I agreed, pouring her a small glass, but the first sip she took made her cough, and I smiled a little at her.

"That's awful."

"You asked for it."

"Because my brother drinks it, but now I wonder if I have tastebuds."

I chuckled a little, taking a sip of my own drink.

"Are you going to tell me what happened at the restaurant?" I asked, but Celeste took her glass again and took a larger sip, even though it made her cough.

Then she turned to me and reached for the zipper in her dress, and I stared, shocked, at her.

"Um, Celeste, what are you doing?" I asked.

She smiled at me as she slipped off the dress, showing me what she had been hiding underneath. Then she slipped out of her chair to straddle me where I was sitting beside her. She grabbed my glass and put it down before smiling at me, and while I very much enjoyed the little surprise she had hidden underneath, I recognized a distraction when I saw one.

"Nice try," I told her.

"What?"

"You look gorgeous as always, but I know when you're trying to distract me."

"I'm not," she lied.

"Celeste, I give you five seconds, or you end up across my knee."

"You would actually spank the truth out of me?" she asked.

"Not something I haven't done before. You almost want me to," I taunted her.

"I do not!"

"You do."

I raised a challenging eyebrow, but she didn't believe me, and I easily maneuvered her over my legs and slapped her ass, seeing the soft flesh jiggle before a handprint began forming. "Ouch, you put power behind that!" she complained.

"Why are you trying to distract me?" I asked.

"No... reason," she whispered.

I spanked her again, but I could smell her arousal filling the room. She knew that after a little punishment, pleasure always came, and her body was excited about the delicious sensation she would feel later. "Tell me the truth, and the punishment stops," I reminded her before spanking her again.

"I..."

"Yes?" But she couldn't quite get the words out, so I spanked her a little harder, and she let out a little squeal. It was a good thing only we were here. I would have to kill others for seeing her in this way. "Ready to tell me yet?" I inquired.

"Well..."

"Yes?"

She hesitated again, so I spanked her once more, and the truth finally came out.

"I think I died."
